USB sockets new house

    Hi folks,

    I see you can get sockets now with two USB ports incorporated into them also.

    do these usb ports burn electricity even with no phone plugged into them??:confused:

    and any Tips where should i put them? beside bed anyway would be handy

    any help appreciated

    Some old threads on them here tom one of the lads tested the power consumption and it was present but low. There are ones that have a switch to power the USB bit off.

    Kitchen counter, hall, bedside, all good places

    allow for a 40mm deep back box
    if not you will have trouble fitting it
