Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I really want to watch this card but I have stuff to do in the morning. I'll catch up on this tomorrow though. I have to think Dodson takes this.

Faszholz needs to finish it in the 3rd I think.

That groin shot was a bullseye. Yer man is in bits. 5 minutes probably won't be enough. Looks good for my bet on Cutelaba in rd 2 though.

Brilliant KO. McCrory was comically gangly there falling down.

Edit: and another for Camp Our Lord and Saviour.

Dodson won that fight. Not a scratch on him afterwards. Certainly not a travesty by any means, but wrong decision in my opinion.

EDIT: And Olivera is a w**ker!

I had it 48-47 Dodson but it was only by a whisker. Great fight

Moreno seemed like a great guy on TUF, really happy for him. I thought Smolka would run through him.

The main event was really good. I couldn't argue with a 48-47 either way.

    Solid card overall.

Yeah Dodson should have went in there and just stood infront of Lineker for 5 rounds.

Attempting to fight? Dodson landed more than him an he had him in trouble late on. I scored the fight for Lineker but too say Dodson wasn't trying to fight is just wrong. How dare John Dodson evade punches.

What are you talking about? So fighters with a speed advantage can't hit and move when they have a speed advantage? Especially when their opponent has crazy knockout power?

So what then, If the judges scored the fight for Dodson they should change their mind at the end because it was close and because Dodson didn't want to stand infront of Lineker? Nonsense.

Dodson was definitely nearly the edge of just running tbf. You can't do that the whole fight and be surprised you lose. The fight is partially scored on agression and octagon control. Id have to give lineker those two. Dodson would get my vote for striking and grappling wasn't a factor. Either way it was very close. Not surprised it was a split decision.

Agression and Octagon Control are secondary criterias.

Rarely see a fight where both fighters are enjoying themselves that much and you end up watching the fight with a smile on your face. That little dance by Lineker was great. Looks like everyone loved it except Big john. Great fight all the same.

Says the unified rules of MMA. Look it up.

"Judges shall evaluate mixed martial arts techniques, such as effective striking, effective grappling, control of the ring/fighting area, effective aggressiveness and defense."

It does not mention anything about striking and grappling being more important!

The third change is in regards to how rounds are scored, with “Effect Aggressiveness” being secondary “only to be assessed if Effective Striking/Grappling is 100 percent equal for both competitors.” Lastly “Fight Area Control” is the third tier of criteria and “is only to be assessed if Effective Striking/Grappling and Effective Aggressiveness are 100 percent equal for both competitors.”
