Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anybody know the Timing belt interval for July 2011 (New Shape B8) Audi A6 2.0 tdi?

I heard 180k kms or 5 years - whatever comes first.
The funny thing is the car was in for an oil change last week in main dealer in Dublin and we got the invoice noting timing belt due at 220kms! They never noted that it was overdue

So should it be done now?

    Anybody know?

    Thanks

Audi diesel timing belt intervals depend on the engine code. Used to be 180k, but a lot moved out to 220k and it sounds like yours is one of the 220k versions if a Main Audi dealer are saying that.

Presume they told you it needed pads & discs at service, or that they'll be due soon? Seems to be pretty standard for Audi main dealer servicing to say that.

Of course I got the rear pads comment.

On the belt even though the car is more than 5 years old, is it safe to Keep driving to 220k or should I get it done now?I called the garage and still waiting for them to call me back....

Not sure on the age interval I'm afraid - we only run to max 5 years.

    €489 at main dealer.

Seems reasonable, but I don't know if that includes a pump.
