    Hi Amik,

Thank you for getting in touch.

We regret any confusion. There are two different Electric Ireland websites that you have referred to in your post. The first page you referenced is for our Northern Ireland customers and is found on www.electricireland.com. The second page is for our Republic of Ireland customers and is found on www.electricireland.ie.

We do not deal with Northern Ireland queries here on Boards as they have a dedicated department. We can only advise in relation to Republic of Ireland queries here. However, our colleagues in the Northern Ireland department are available on Facebook or by calling 0345 600 5335 should your query be in relation to a Northern Ireland account.

We can confirm that the NightSaver hours for Republic of Ireland customers are from 11 p.m. to 8.a.m. (winter) and between midnight and 9.a.m. (summer). It will always change with the clocks.

The meter will show you the separate day and night meter readings. This will be how you can tell if you are on the day and night rate. If you have storage heaters, these should only be coming on during the NightSaver hours.

If you would like us to check your account for you, and advise in more detail, please send us the following details by private message:
    • Your full name
    • Your account number
    • The first line of your address
    • Your contact number or date of birth
    • Confirmation you are the account holder (a sentence stating this is sufficient)

    We hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Aoife
