Seems a strange move on one hand but if your in the UK and have bt broadband the sports are free
I have bt sport on mobile thru my brother having eir broadband but I can't record or watch on demand and I can't add the channel to my sky without paying for it

Seemingly Vince held a meeting last week and a decision was made to no longer have ad breaks during matches on Raw & Smackdown. The idea is that legitimate sports don't play during their breaks, so WWE is adjusting their match presentation. This makes sense given that the USA Network & Fox both paid huge amounts of money for a weekly live sports show.

Or are they going to be allowed a break during the commercial break

Now the WWE formula of suicide dive = ad break is annoying as all hell, but the only way this could be a good thing is if matches actually have a time limit as opposed to always just ending in the alloted time

Becky and Seth are kicking off Raw so they're going all in with the power couple angle.

I'm not 100% against it but only because the idea of Brock F5'ing Becky to fúck with Seth is money in my mind. The image of Brock having her up for the F5 with Heyman begging him not to do it would be amazing.

Looking forward too Ricochet vs Styles and really hope the club are heel. Be cool if there a cross brand group and they add Finn to it. Gallows/Anderson/Styles and Finn as a heel stable

Yeah, pretty much everyone in NJPW that was involved has moved on to other stuff so it has become irrelevant.


WWE might hold on to stuff for years but they don't seem to realize that everyone else moves on and improves.

From Reddit, someone who was at last night's Raw talking about the new structure for matches between ad-breaks...

The new format with no action during the commercial breaks kinda sucks. They tried a couple of different things (the iiconics came out to cut a horrible promo on the kabuki warriors, The Revival tried to talk to the crowd and got booed to the point where one of them was saying 'come on guys, can't we talk?', KO tried to cut a promo and got shut down with 'you suck' chants) but it was mostly commercials on the tron, stuff like a clip from some rap battle show, one from late night, a full commercial for 'Fighting with my Family' on DVD, etc etc.

It seriously took the audience right out of the matches, especially when it was in the middle of a match with the competitors standing in a dark ring watching a commercial for next year's Mania.

Still a great night and a fun show to attend, but it was seriously irritating how disjointed it was.

Sounds crap.

During the AJ/Ricochet match, when AJ kicked out the Club, they dropped the lights, AJ and Rico stayed in the ring in their corners, Dana Brooke came out to do some cheerleader bull****, they did a commercial for mania, then they restarted the match when the cameras went live.

I can and will blame him. Taker hasn’t been able to go in YEARS this won’t be a redemption match for him. Just retire and stay retired that’s the best way for him to keep any dignity left.

Had a good opportunity when the streak by was broken and then an even better one when Reigns beat him at Mania. They did the whole gimmick of him leaving his hat and jacket in the ring and everything. Why not then? He has nothing left to give. Even beating him at Mania now means nothing really.

Okay, that is really bad. Actually stopping the match for a commercial break. Why not just have the wrestlers stop mid match sell the products themselves while they're at it? How many viewers have complained about matches continuing during the ad break. And to make matters worse, some matches go through 2 ad breaks.
Didn't they used to allow people to watch the match on an app during the ads?
And, like I said elsewhere, they've done split screen before with the ads airing and the match in a smaller box. Maybe advertisers didn't like that?

Well looks like the running the 24/7 thing into the ground has begun. The wrestlers do need to think ahead though. Think it was Heath had a clear path to the back, but he had to go towards the others. And they need to stop with suspending the rules.
Knew the 24/7 bit was coming when Heath and Mojo are having a match on Raw, especially with Lars being out injured and Strowman and Lashley already having their bit.

Why have AJ beat Ricochet after winning the title? Stupid. If anything they should have Pew Pew win so the Good Brothers can criticise AJ the same way he's criticising them

Posted the exact same thing when he 1st came back after Reigns, it was the perfect send off leaving the gear in the ring, considering the character, now he, vince or the 2 combined have ruined it, no better then flair or foley now

What's worse is that at this point the Undertaker's retirement will mean nothing.
Because it's been tease multiple times and we won't be able to safely assume he won't return.
Reigns should have retired him. Sure the streak ending would have worked but I didn't overall hate the Brock matches that followed and the Reigns-Taker match told a good story.

Having him return after that belittled an eventual end to his career and made Reigns beating him seem somewhat pointless IMO.

the Streak is it. outside of that, he's never brought about anything in me.

he's currently a sad, old man who can't let go. it's pathetic to watch, and destroys his legacy. it's his fault. Vince is a businessman with no actual feelings or empathy - he will flog his talent until they're dead, or they walk away.

Taker needs to make the call. and it's an indictment on the man that he can't.

Hopefully not. He's still involved with Brock Lesnar so I'd hope they'd keep him off TV as executive director of Raw. Same with Bischoff, or at least wait awhile to introduce him until you've had time to close off some storylines and begin new ones.
