Looks like he mightn't last the 13 hour flight. Have zero interest in this whole flair vs hogan match.

McIntyre has to be on the roids.

No but doing his limousine riding, jet flying looked like he was going to pass out, doesn't look well at all.

I think that was an interesting episode, from the point of the entire focus was building new stars.

    Black, Andrade, Street Profits, Humbero.

There was a huge focus on saying "These guys aren't top guys now, but we want to start making them be such in your eyes."

The issue, of course, is when you start a project like that, it can appear a little uninteresting or underwhelming to start off with.

I will say, I think Ford has "it". The Street Profits are gold, imo, but Ford has proper Breakout potential. Just has a great look and charisma to spare. Big fan of his. That closing shot of him with the baby is proper suprstar material, and was likely unscripted too.

Cain, on the other hand.....as someone who doesn't watch much UFC, he's an awful character to me. He can't speak, his "wrestling" looked awful in the segment against Shelton (I'm aware he looked decent as a luchadore), and he doesn't look like the badass they are trying to tell me he is. I get that a decaded ago, he battered Brock but that's not much interest to me as a casual fan right now.

My main takeaway from Raw was that Humberto is a handsome chap. Guy looks like he belongs in a boyband or something.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,382 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

His entrance gear looks pretty cheap and music isn't great though. So think he needs to change those.

So can anyone explain to an old man here what the Street Profits mean by "smoke"? Even though I watched them in NXT and on Raw, I still have no idea. I just guess things like the stirring and what the cup is about.

Find it kind of stupid when the "local talent" seems to last longer in a match than the superstar. If you compare Black's match length to Zack/Curt

What he needed before debuting was some PEDs and a gym membership.

We want the smoke basically their way of saying we're ready to throw down with y'all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,382 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

That's what I thought it meant, but seem sto mean something else when they start singing "We want the smoke". I think it's a word similar to "smurf" in that if has many meanings

There wasn't even one women's match on Raw.

    There nearly all in Australia

Caught some of the show montez is a Effiin star in the making no doubt about it

Am I crazy or was bob/Lana/rusev stuff actually getting good reactions from the crowds

So I’ve finally seen the clip of ric flair from Monday night. As someone who is a huge flair fan and most of my favourite matches of all time include him in them but it’s sad now. I hate to say it but ric flair should not be on live TV unless it’s clear he’s okay to do it.? He looks and sounds terrible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

I didn't think he was that bad. His speech is a bit slurry I think that's just age / too many years of boozing. The content of what he was saying was just classic heel needling that a lot of the current roster can still learn from, even though there was zero chance that crowd were going to boo Flair regardless of what he said.

RAW did 3k viewers in the UK this week no wonder SKY didn't fight to keep it.

    Impact did 77k

    AEW 230k viewers on ITV.

Different times and different channels but man 3k viewers.

In fairness none of those 3,000 people would admit to staying up late to see a now senile? maybe he's drunk? Ric Flair slur his way through a promo or Rusev interrupt his wife's date as her and Lashley have a cream covered dessert.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,107 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Reckon ratings in the UK/Ireland dont matter much as the time difference and the fact they always break even twice a year on live events over here but saying that the live events in Dublin/Belfast dont sell out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,107 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

On a midnight next week due to time difference

He wasn’t drunk tho. Years of alcohol abuse yes but no way would Vince allow a drunk on live TV

Okay maybe not drunk but as you say his mind might be ****ed. Vince let Hogan and Savage do interviews live on PPVs back in the day when it's clear they were weren't compus mentus.

Let's be real, the writing in Eastenders or Coronation Street or even Fair City shìts all over this stuff.

Becky vs Kairi was announced too. Might be good.

Hard to care about any of this anymore. It's just NXT for me now as far as WWE goes.

It's not worth recording and fast forwarding through anymore, or even bloody Youtube highlights

Hopefully they can get some spark back before the Rumble, I'm struggling to even think of a "dream" WM main event I want to see because now

You'll probably get Ronda v Becky, one on one for the first time ever. I adore the Beckster but even I could only say meh to that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,236 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

I think Rollins vs Reigns will be the main event. They've handled Roman well since he came back. The whodunnit story was dumb but they haven't forced him on people like before. Rollins is just a boring gowl and will be fully heel by Mania, which is his best role.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,107 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

On at midnight due to the clocks not going back in the US

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,236 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

"I don't care about your stupid feelings" That may be one of the worst wrestling shirts I've seen in a while.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,007 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Rowan challenged Rollins offered on Fox and that challenge has been excepted and will happen tonight on RAW.

So much for seperate Brands not crossing over or mixing.

T'was a good match. Kairi does not hold back on those spinning backfists.

Whats the point of The IIconics if they aren't allowed to sMAck talk on the way to the ring it's about the only thing they are good at.

Gotta get as many females on tonight's card since they can't wrestle at crown jewel.

Could also say why are your tag team champions doing squash matches with jobbers. While at the same time the aop are still doing promos.

More of the Rusev/Lana/Lashley relationship drama main events Raw? In a divorce court, not even a match. This show hasn't gotten any better under Heyman, it's possibly even worse.

I always wondered what would Heyman have done had he got the TNA gig but the past few months reminded me he also did stuff like the Al Wilson storyline.

Heyman can only do so much. i'm sure he has to pick his spots as to what he chooses to try and change.

Vince is still boss, so you're still going to get fúcking shít soap opera bollocks.

It's one thing doing the Rusev storyline but putting it in the main event? What the fùck?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,229 ✭✭✭ThePott

I don't want anyone to complain about WWE ratings ever again,

Going off the sh1te they put out, the fact they have ratings at all is a miracle.
What the hell is this angle, why is it in the main event?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,107 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

The RKO on Ricochet was cool and prob the only good thing on the episode

Cant wait to get that farce of a PPV over and done with

That lana and Rusev segment jesus and it was the main event. They should deff go when there contracts are up

I must be the only one here that actually loved that Rusev/lana segment. Thought it was going to be crap but they made it work. Lana did it very well and the whole thing came out fun and entertaining. Though her accent is now completely gone! :D

The segment has 2.4 Million views already so people are interested at least.
