Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gotta feel sorry for Ruby Riott, she's on an 0-11 losing streak.

    She really is being wasted.

Everyone to get in trouble for not pronouncing the "The" part of the PPV?
Like why do they have to emphasise it every time?
Imagine if they did that for Backlash: "This Sunday at Backlash The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever I'll make you pay! So see you at Backlash The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever"

Finally they admit it's Richard O'Shea.

When did Peyton Royce get such a class finisher combo?

I see nothing interesting about Ruby Riot.

Haven't seen Raw but I'd imagine ricochet got demolished by the 2nd coming of Bobby Lashley, here's hoping he goes to AEW and actually get used properly

I am reaching to the point where I forget to check out clips on YouTube each week now.

There aren't many great storylines or characters in WWE product right now.

I think feud between Orton and Edge has really made the rest of the roster look bland in compassion.

    Reports that Covid released
    Heath Slater
due to appear on the show tonight.

That does look class but it was helped by Ruby taking it well. I can't picture, say, Dana Brooke or someone like that making it look as good.

Yeah while peyton did well ruby made it look a million bucks. I've said it before but WWE don't know how lucky they are to have someone as good in the ring as ruby on their roster, and is clearly a good human being in general. If only they'd realise that. Nope Dana Brooke wouldn't have taken it as well.

Extreme Rules -> Extreme Rules: The Horror Show -> The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

If I was Dolph, my stipulation would be something along the lines of Drew must have both feet tied together or if the champion or challenger wins, then the title changes hands.

Dunno what to think of the new US title. Looked cheap at times.
Have to admit, fair play to MVP for making the most of this new opportunity after returning at the Rumble. Thought it was just a 1 or 2 night thing but he's doing well for himself.

Was funny seeing Peyton trying not to laugh when Billie screeched "Really?" when Ruby commented on their voices.
Wonder if it was intentional that Peyton mentioned Ruby's ugly tattoos before bringing her arm up and showing her tattoo.

So much for Owens staying away.

I look forward to seeing someone having their eye pulled out, though seems they grow back anyway since Rey apparently had his eye punctured and is pretty much grand now.

Why does NXTUK get those gorgeous, prestigious looking titles and the main shows get ugly cartoon-ish belts?

I wonder did they sign back Slater and have him go on another one of those 'fight for your contract' stuff ??

Didn't they do that with him a while back

They should keep Heath or is he done again with WWE

Yeah. At the draft, Drew went undrafted, and they ran the story that no one wanted him. So him and Rhino got entered into the tournement for the SD tag titles, they won, and in the process, he won a contract.

Heath is someone who when they announced he was released, my immediate thought was "he'll be back the very second live shows start up again". Maybe since that will be a while longer, they've brought him back now. But he seems ultra well liked, willing to be the job guy, yet stays over with the crowd. He's Mr. Live Events, and I'd be shocked if he's still "unemployed" by Xmas.

He initially was injured which is why he first went and did commentary(which he’s excellent at) and now I don’t know exactly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,313 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Who would've thought Angel Garza would be jealous of Ivar?

Proof again that WWE are clearly reading boards. I just mention about them not using Bianca and Shayna and who shows up this week?

I'd say he's face until after this Sunday anyway.
Looked like Randy was set to turn on Ric though with the look he gave when he told Ric to go ahead and he'd be right behind.

Historically low ratings for Raw. First hour was their lowest rating ever and got worse from there.

No surprise, the shows are dirt. I barely ever watch the opening anymore. Just check Reddit clips the following morning.

Think it's bad now? Just wait until the other American sports return. Both companies will have to get their acts together to keep eyeballs on their product. Pro-Wrestling is just a small fish in a big pond compared to the NFL, MLB, NHL.

Can't see it, factor in too it's an Election year in America as well, they'll be doing well to sustain what they already have.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,912 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

The majority of the WWE's audience on all 3 shows is the over 50's.

Not really who you would think they would be aiming at especially when on USA and FOX who would want 18 to 35 audience for the advertising.

Big Show and Flair will pull in the viewers no doubt

Really interesting to see the crowds when they return to the road. People might go for the novelty and boredom. Tbh god knows when it will happen. Royal Rumble 2021 maybe

Wrestling industry in America is in serious trouble

I know a lot of people like to think It’s just wwe but it’s all companies big or Indy

That rating was lower than Christmas 2018, which is lower than anything in 1996 when they were up against Nitro, but they're still top 6 on a Monday.

I wouldn't say the industry is in trouble, it'll have it's high and lows like any other part of the entertainment industry, but maybe as far as it's perception in the States, it's at the kids & teenagers table, while the likes of NFL, Major League Baseball, MLS, NHL and Nascar are at the grown ups table.

its a niche product for sure will never get to the grown up table but why i think its in trouble is its most loyal fans are starting to turn away and while covid is certainly not helping with no crowds but who knows if they return

Are the NFL and all being played behind closed doors as well?

This weeks Raw was really bad in particular.

I had completely forgot about the charisma vacuum Shayna Baszler. She is like a male bob backlund. Only just realised Charlotte is gone too. Thats how boring I find them. Since Becky has gone the womens division is very boring. There is no one worth watching at the min.

How that womens match ended the show I will never know. But before that they had Richocet v Lashley. So the men are in a bad place too.

There was nothing at all in the show that would make you want to talk about it.

People complained about the Smackdown angle with Sheamus/Hardy. But thats what both shows need. They need "antics" That angle has 1.3 m views on youtube.

I think WWE has fallen into the trap of online people like Meltzer who rate every match with stars like it was a UFC event. They keep trying to do shows like they are contests. Here is one guy. Here is the other. Now they do a match. That guy just barely won after a great move. This only appeals to a small amount of people.

People like me want good guys, bad guys and some kind of beef between them. Run ins seem to be gone as well as cheating by the bad guys. Thats virtually gone now. NXT is just full of matches. There doesn't seem to be any storylines at all. I havent watched AEW at all as its not on TV here so I don't know about that.

Until WWE goes back to storylines the ratings will always be low.

Asuka and Kairi are the only one's worth a damn on the RAW Women's Roster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,313 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

So I decided Ziggler's stipulation for his match should be the first ever "Scots lay down" match. Where all Scottish participants must let their opponent pin them for a count of 3.
