Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
A friend of mine has recently purchased a commercial vehicle, he is a small time farmer who doesn't have an income tax registration number. What happens when he goes to the garda station with the RF111A form??
    Thanks in advance.

I believe he can use his Herd Number if he has one.

The Gards are only witnessing his Declaration

He can use his PPS number.
Make sure he brings his original commercial insurance certificate with him and gets the vehicle weighed and has the weight docket as well.....when taxing the vehicle...not for AGS !

Don't think he'll need the weight docket if it's been taxed before though? Only for newly registered vehicles I thought..

You'd be surprised how many new vehicles aren't weighed properly.

Phone your local tax office and they can check the system for you.

Thanks for the replies. I heard that the pps number will suffice alright. The vehicle is 11yrs old so I don't think he has to weigh it again.
