I also tried just cause 3 last night, but it wasn't the loading that got me...it was everytime I paused or something ....'Connecting to servers' / 'can't connect to servers' ...ok....then I select PLAY OFFLINE.
But they insist on try to connect me to the servers everytime I pause thereafter.

You really notice the loading screens when you die or are retrying a mission but I agree the connecting to server things is worse. Try to check map it takes 15 seconds to tell you it can't connect to the server and do you want to play offline. Yes I want to play offline!!!! 5-10 minutes later it's the same thing again

Kids were playing JC3 on PC last night, they couldn't even connect to the Squeenix servers so I assume it's because of all the new PS4 JC3 customers coming on at once...

Don't worry, all the PS4's will soon be deleting JC3. Servers will return to normal.

I've played 3-4 hours maybe and have connected to the servers for about 5 minutes. It's actually something I could see myself enjoying now and then once I get used to the flying and general getting about tomfoolery.

I never played it but it looks amazing on the PC, apparently runs like a dog on PS4 so I haven't bothered...

They were trying to connect to multiplayer and it wasn't working, which is just modded in AFAIK

I'm actually enjoying JC3 but I think the server issue is just going to push me over the edge eventually and delete it.

If these issues have been in the game since launch, why did they not attempt to fix them when it was going to be exposed to thousands of new players being on PS Plus? Seems like a pretty bad move that could do more damage than good to the reputation of the franchise. I like the game but I'm only willing to put up with "performing online login" for so long - it's a single player game, I don't want or need it to connect to anything.

Why don't people just disconnect their PS4 from the internet to avoid the server issues from JC3 when playing single player?

I'd be concerned I'd miss some nonsense on the PS Destiny chat. The few times I did connect to the server it showed me which of my friends were actually worse at the game than me which is always fun but I think y'er right, I'll need to disconnect.

No thanks. I'll just delete the game. Disconnecting from 'tinternet does nothing for the loading screens.

Started up JC3 for the first time there yesterday, saw the state of the servers, then decided to leave it.
I won't be deleting it though, I'l wait until all the PS+ subscribers give up on the game down the line and see what the servers are like then.

I'm actually in the middle of another Avalanche Studios game at the moment anyway (Mad Max), so first thing's first! The likelihood is though that JC3 will just become another neglected backlog item that will only be played for about an hour.

I was hoping that i would hear good news of impreovements to the loading and online connection issues with JC3. I wanted to get it at launch, but held off, and eventually got it for like €30 a few months later, but had to trade it in again about 2 weeks after that due to the online, loading and the slowdown when anything interesting happens.

Disappointed to hear that it's still the same... I'll wait until i upgrade to the Pro and i'll download it then again.

Child of Light is great, it's a platformer with final fantasy combat.

Was going to buy Second Son last month after getting a new TV with HDR suppose, but didn't due to the backlog, delighted to have held off now! Happy with Child of Light because I can play that on the Vita.

Have RIGS but it's literally sitting in its plastic since I got it. Might move that on so...

Child of Light isn't cross buy so it's only for PS4. Tbh, it's so tiny on the Vita, you'd be better off playing it on the larger screen.
