Mighty No.9 is nowhere near as bad as it's made out to be. I can promise you 90% of people complaining about it haven't played it. Gamers are notorious bandwagon jumpers, they latch on to an someone's opinion and parrot it from then on. The game isn't great, but it's not bad either.

Just on this, my opinion was from my own experience with the game. :)

I really didn't mean you at all. Just something that bugs me in general. Star Wars Battlefront 2 was the worst offender. The amount of misinformation about that game was something else.

Ah I know, it was just an aside...

I agree, it's a symptom of heavy social media influence and the consequential mob mentality that goes with it. However, I don't mind judging a game if you've looked into it and just don't think you'd like it. I've never played Bloodborne, but I've seen enough of it and played enough of Dark Souls to gather a strong basis as to why I wouldn't like it.

I can't stand those games, someone bought me Dark Souls 3 for a birthday gift. The fist boss about 10 minutes had me wanting to set myself on fire.

    Life's too short for that.

I've done enough reading on SW: BF2 and the absolute mess of its launch to know it's not the game for me. Then again, I'd next to never play any multiplayer. Actually, the debate on here about lootboxes convinced me not to bother supporting any game that implements a paid lootbox system, cosmetic or otherwise.

I'll give it a go, absolutely hate turn based games though. Not feeling Rime at all. Style over substance.

It's turn based? Ugh... Skipping that one.

Just finished Rime there, was liking it for the first couple of hours and then it just seemed to drag on from there.

On stage three of rime (I think).

Finding it an absolute joy tbh.

Probably helps I've been playing Mass effect andromeda!

Beautiful world, decent puzzles (not overly taxing) interesting collectables and masterful use of soundtrack.

This is the type of game I want form PS+.

How are the frame rates in RiME ? Haven't got around to it myself yet but when it launched they were horrific on Xbox. Didn't spoil my enjoyment of it then but was annoying enough.

Knack is awful, I can see why it sold so little.

Who's the voice actor that's trying to mimic Patrick Warburton?
    It's very off putting :pac:

I've only played about 30 mins of it but it got pretty choppy at one or two points where it stuttered.

I played it for an hour the other day and deleted it. Awful game.

Haven't noticed any frame rate issues with rime.

Played a 3 or 4 hours of Knack over the last couple of days and enjoyed it for what it is. Looks more PS2 than PS4 mind and it was an awful choice for a launch game but I don't really think it deserves the scorn it gets.

Can't get into Rime, and I believe it's because the game hasn't given me a reason to want to play. I like story games, but this just landed me on an Island with no indication of why, and hasn't given me a reason to find out why. It's lovely looking, art is nice, but it's just meh right now.

You have to see it through to get the why. Theres 3 or 4 encounters that can be over looked during the game that have a bearing on the end too if I recall.

That's exactly why I hate games like Rime, Journey etc. People talk them up as if they are masterpieces, when in reality they are little more than pretentious walking simulators with some nice looking graphics.

Rime is only an OK example of the form, though - it's just not as good as its inspirations (the likes of Ico, which are medium-defining levels of great). I would never refer to it as anything more than a reasonably good game with some cool art.

Journey, on the other hand, is IMO a bit of a masterpiece - a masterful command of aesthetic, tone, mechanical ambiguity, and subtle world-building combine into one of the most compelling experiences in gaming's history. Not everyone will agree on that, but it's on a very different level to Rime.

PS Plus is such a ripoff at 60 euros.
Where do you guys buy your PS Plus?
I'd never pay Sony 60 bloody euros for the privilege of playing online.
You can't even keep any of the games.
Most of the games they rent out to you are rubbish or you already have them and then when the sub runs out you end up with nothing. I hate that. Anyway just wondering where you get your subs and where is the cheapest?

They have 25% off about once or twice a year. I stocked up in Argos who sold them for 12.50 a few years back. Pressstart were selling them reduced and you could get psn credit free for three or voda credit
