Definitely worth it for me , You often get really good games , at least 1 playable out of them anyway an the months are going to get better now that the PS3 and Vita stuff is going off it

Don't worry about it. Failsafe filled us in on that a couple of months ago. He got very upset about it on our behalf.

Apologies for offending you, your hobby, etc.

    Love Failsafe

    Xx

    Very happy with that

I never played an xcom, no interest in RTS games. Trials fusion is absolutely brilliant. Poured countless hours into that.

    it's not a RTS, it's turn based.

Have both Xcoms on PC amd have Trials on the PS4 so not a great month for me.

Nice month for those who dont have them though. Actually never played Xcom multiplayer so i can try that at least.

Even worse! At least Trials will keep me occupied.

Trials is like crack, forget the joy/agony you get from beating/losing to a ghost friend on the track, there's certain tracks that seem impossible to complete but when you do, it feels like your greatest gaming achievement. Game that had me closest to throwing my joypad at the telly.

Yeah I played a version of it before and it really is addictive as ****. Looking forward to giving it a go on ps4

Give XCOM a shot - name your squadmates after friends, family and see how much of your fingernails are left after a few missions :D It's one of the best games announced on PS plus this year .

Ah yeah, I remember those ones. I believe I gave up after watching a video of one of them. When the fun is gone, i'm gone!

Nah, can't stand turn based games. I think Dawn of War, the first one, was the only turn based game I liked, and I can't even remember if it was proper turn based! That and the fighting system for the Final Fantasy games, just not my cuppa.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,541 ✭✭✭✭Varik

Dawn of War wasn't turn based, proper or otherwise.

Some of the Final fantasy games are Turn based strategy such as the FF Tactics games.

XCom 2 is an indirect descendant of Rebelstar and Chaos, two legit all time classics. I've been meaning to pick it up for ages.

I have 600+ hours on X-Com and 380+ on X-Com 2 on PC - they're incredible games. But without the mod support of the PC, I won't be bothering. You'd be mad not to give it a go since it's free though :)

Trials are, as others have said, like crack. So much frustration and "one more turn" built into it that keeps you trying again.

Trials fusion is half a game without buying the DLC

I think theres plenty in the base game. Saying that, the season pass has been on sale for a fiver before and well worth keeping an eye out for if you do enjoy the base game.

Arent most of the multiplayer tracks behind the dlc?

I think i remember trying MP and it had like 5 tracks in total in the base game

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,585 ✭✭✭Jerichoholic

You medal each track and then that's it, there's not a whole lot of content in it, even though it looks like there is.

Well the real challenge is trying to beat your friend's times and their ghosts on-screen. That's where the replayability comes into it and it can get quite addictive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,012 ✭✭✭✭chopperbyrne

The user created levels mostly require the DLC now, but there's a lot of singleplayer content in the base game.

Xcom is one of my top 5 favourite games. I strongly reccomended people give it a go.

No sale on DLC for Xcom

The game is free but if you wanted the DLC it's all full price at 60, or you don't buy the free plus copy and get everything for 44 in the collection.
