I've no interest in April's lineup, but I definitely wouldn't be happy with a VR title. I've no interest in VR and I won't be investing for the foreseeable future. Adding a VR title alienates a lot of PS4 owners.

If anything a VR game could be an additional third title, but I'd rather they put the resources needed for a VR purchase towards higher quality PS4 games.

I've been flirting with Conan for ages so glad to get it for free, looks to be a similar set up to Mad Max which I got on plus last year and enjoyed immensely. Hopefully it's worth sinking a bit of time into.

Id put conan along side games like rust,ark and the like.

Crafting survival,ive skipped it on PC for a long while. Doesnt look great to me.

Not really into souls type games but ill probably give the surge a go.

Path of Exile out now too so defo wanna give that a go

This month's games are now available. Also noticed that The Surge was currently on sale for 11.99 earlier this morning even though when you go to select it now it says reduced from 39.99

Could have been a discount price before it went free. Happy that they're up now, I've been trying to continue with a few games but I've no interest in them (Shenmue, Yakuza 0, Lords of the Fallen). Think I'll start with Conan.

Played a Conan for a few hours, got a nice house under a cliff and met the locals (then enslaved them).

Yeah, had a blast of Conan last night. They really do mean full nudity! It's actually strange to see it in a game (on PS anyway). Usually it's the top half, but Conan leaves nothing to the imagination (always lol at the breast size options in games). But, the game itself, it's a bit clunky, especially the climbing, but there appears to be a good game in there. There's no help whatsoever, and one of the tips told me that even when you're not playing you should make sure you've left yourself in a safe place as the world continues? Think that may only be for online versions, and I'm playing offline SP.

Combat is meh, but I'd imagine it gets better as you level up. As said, there's no help, so it took me 2 lives to realise you need to use the hatchet on dead animals to get the meat. Every NPC so far seems to want to murder me, and my last game I got destroyed by 3 guys at a camp. The game doesn't tell you about crafting, and even when in the crafting menu you can be attacked. Pretty sure even pausing the game doesn't prevent you being killed.

Took me another while to figure out where the stuff I was crafting was going, until I realised about the R1 radial menu! At the moment, it's meh to me, but it could get better with time. Think I need to read a 'Before you play...' before I have another go at it.

Don't take my word for it, as I said, it's clunky, but I can see potential. I just need to figure out how to survive! But yeah, The Surge probably won't get an install until I'm out of games to play.

Ye stuff going into the r1 radial quick bar thing mess me up a few times, I'd craft a few of something.

Think combat is decent, was using a sword and shield but changed to a pike and enjoying that more with a lot of stabbing at range and rolling away. Had to mess with the controls to get it so I could hit anything with an arrow.

Had another go of Conan again last night. I'm either really bad or you're supposed to die every time you think you're getting somewhere! I also read that you can only have a max of 50 points for perks, but the screen makes it look like you can have a crap load of points, anyone know if there's a limit or will I keep levelling up and eventually be able to max all the perks?

You're meant to be playing in groups at the end, so people will focus on certain things.

Other than at the very start I've not died for a while, except when I ran into a named character who're decently strong.

Yeah, the game does appear to want to push me towards playing with people, ugh... I'll keep playing it because I want to see what else is out there, but there's so much to take in with regards crafting, and it's hard to get everything on your own. I've dropped the difficulty down to make it more enjoyable, and now i'm not getting killed every 20 minutes, have even killed a few myself, so definitely more enjoyable, and easier but still not easy.

Currently in a predicament about where to base myself. I'm attached to my little 4 wall hut near the beginning, but it's quite far away from everything. Think i'll start rambling up north east and put up a few different huts along the way. Working towards creating the Blacksmiths Bench so I can get a skinning knife, but I need so much Ironstone and there's none around.

Is it possible to buy a one month subscription over the counter anywhere?

I know there are shops that do 3 month and 12 month Plus subscriptions. But does anywhere do 1 month?

I know Smyths have an online purchase of one month available, but can you also get it in shop and get them to pass you or email you the code or something?

I don't think you can buy a one month subscription over the counter anywhere. Not sure about what Smyths' offer is either. You could probably buy a €10 PSN voucher. You could then buy a one month sub for €8 direct from the PS Store itself, the other €2 staying in your PSN wallet.
