Should have been yesterday as it was the last Wednesday of the month, but given that the first Tuesday of the month won't be for two weeks, they will probably wait until next Wednesday to announce the games.

Next week. First Tuesday isn't until the week after.

Metal Gear Survive is one of the PS+ Asia games, so it might be one of the games here too.

    Oh dear god no

I played the demo of it, I can promise you it's better than ****ing Conan.

I played the beta of it, absolute boring shyte. If it is added, it's basically Sony poking **** off their shoes with a stick and smearing it over ps+.

It's not that bad. It's just MGSV with wackyness. I've heard it improved massively over time and certainly since the beta. I'll give it a go.

I picked up the surge last month for a fiver.
    Haven't played it yet.
Sony are being extremely cheap and mean to their PS plus subscribers.
They dropped the PS3 and vita games and gave nothing as a replacement and gave cheap bargain bin games or games that no-one wants to buy. If what they offer this month is Metal Gear Survive
people really need to stop paying their PS Plus subs. Hit Sony where it hurts. Nobody with any taste wants Metal Gear Survive even for free. It is excrement and an insult to the Metal Gear Solid name. It makes me furious even thinking about that game. It makes my blood boil. Offering that junk for free would be the ultimate insult to PS Plus subscribers. I haven't subscribed to PS Plus for quite a long time. I'm just angry for the people that are.

I have to say, the free games every month are a bonus if you get time to play them :D I have a serious backlog to get through with all the free games so in a month or so when I'm back in full swing i will start getting through them.

Ive always hoped they might do an online sub for €30 and keep the €60 sub for people who want the games as well

But it suits sony to keep everyone paying €60 so doubt we would ever see it.

Plus has gotten better with time imo,the dark days of getting total garbage for awhile after the console launched are pretty far behind it now. Still the odd month thats terrible but over the course of a year i think it evens out well enough these days.

Ya'll do realise that there is talk of PS+ Premium for the PS5?

I think Sony will whittle away on the service as they do not want you taking too many free games onto the newer backwards compatible system when it arrives.

I always was very cynical ;)

    I'm subbed till 22.

Metal Gear Survive just went on sale on PSN, €40 down to €10. I think Plus games being announced today so doubt it will make the list.

Pic of a menu leaked apparently, not sure if fake. Shows Overcooked and What Remains of Edith Finch.

Overcooked was traded into Gamestop so much at one point, they started to refuse taking them. What Remains is a great game but it's an indie that has been on sale multiple times and if you hate 'walking simulators', you'll hate this.

Kinda hope it is Metal Gear Survive now.

    Would rather metal gear too.

What Remains of Edith Finch was a free epic game store game a while ago. Got it out and out free and didn't play it.

Overcooked is a great game to play with the kids and What Remains of Edith Finch is a great game too but I've already got both of them... :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,616 ✭✭✭JimBurnley

I don't think they'd be too bad to be fair, certainly compared to last month. I actually have Edith Finch in my backlog, not got round to it yet but it's definitely I game I intend to play so can't complain that being on the list (just wished I waited)! Overcooked not played but heard its a fun multiplayer, so will definitely download that and give it go.

Of course it's all a bit irrelevant for the next while as I'll only be playing Days Gone for the foreseeable future!

Leak was correct, games were just announced

Two good games, but considering their monetary value a poor month.

I think I've gotten to the point where I'll not bother renewing when it runs out for me in June. I don't play online so I was only subscribing for the games. They're not really with it at this stage.

Just got the email saying I have unlocked 27 euro worth, nice wan Sony, thanks.

Meanwhile, Xbox got The Golf Club 2019 which I'd really like to play.

They're mad if they think anyone will believe that the games are worth that, maybe at full digital price but not their actual worth. Overcooked is available for €2 digitally on cdkeys for the Xbox.

27 of their euros, as i'd never pay that for them.
Real lousy month. Last month wasn't great and they rarely have 2 poor ones on the bounce

    Those are two fantastic games

    Those are two fantastic games

I agree but it's gotten to the point that any good games they've given away I've already picked up cheaply in sales and the rest of the games are pure swill that I'd never touch.

For people saying it's not worth it, I guarantee the €60 would not cover the following:

    PS4
    Steep
    Portal Knights
    For Honor
    Hitman: The Complete First Season
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
    The Witness
    The Surge
    Conan Exiles
    Edit Finch
    Overcooked

Not to mention the other PS3/Vita games this year:

    PS3
Zone of the Enders HD Collection
    Amplitude
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
    DiveKick (Cross-buy with PS Vita)

    PS Vita
    Super Mutant Alien Assault
    Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion
    Rogue Aces (Cross-buy with PS4)
    GunHouse (Cross-buy with PS4)

And we're only in May. I don't get the argument. MS were charging for Gold well before PS, and then PS started charging but started including free games, which MS then copied. We can't have AAA/5* games every month, and I don't mind these months as I would never have bought that Edith Finch one. I probably won't like it, but my sub to play online is giving me access to game I would never have bought and I get to experience games I never would have otherwise, and have discovered some gems like Dust: An Elysian Tale & Guacamelee, which was so good, I bought the sequel at launch, and I'd buy a sequel to Dust right now if it was available.

I still haven't downloaded most of those games to try them. I think this year has already paid for itself.

The last PS+ game that I downloaded was Bulletstorm from last year. Nothing since has inspired me, although I may just give Edith Finch a try seeing as it's not too long and is a bit different.

I don't mind walking simulators but I really hope the travel speed in this is faster than the like of Everybody Gone to the Rapture - the only game I ever fell asleep in the middle of playing because it was so ****ing slow to go anywhere.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,850 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Well it's mostly based in a house so you're never walking far so it's not as noticeable as everybody's gone to the rapture. Absolutely brilliant experience though. Anyone who hasn't played it is in for a treat.

Absolute garbage. Not a fiver's worth between them.
