I used Press-Start the other day and I had my code within seconds. I recommend them

Thanks I nver heard of press-start. I notice there is no different country accounts its just the one for the membership.

Press start auto filter to only show your country, doesn't show the flag on PS plus membership but it's in the product name and will only show the ones who's region you've set or it's detects.

CD keys show everything by default, and they've flags on everything.

Wallet credit and PS membership are linked to account country, games are to region.

    Thanks for that :)

I tried payment with Reviolut card and payment was rejected :( . I'll try my debit card instead :)

Edit: All sorted now happy days :)

Press-start and revolut don't play well together and neither company are very helpful with the situation, you have to wait 2 weeks to get your money back even though both claim they don't have it!

Going to use Press Start today as my subscription is up next week. Presume debit worked fine?

Anyone know how they can offer the codes cheaper than the official store?

So I see via resetera that the price of the monthly sub is increasing

    https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/75172-playstation-plus-price-increase-europe-asia-confirmed/

    12 months - €59,99 (no change)
    3 months - €24,99 (no change)
    1 month - €8,99 (from €7,99)

I personally think it's madness to pay monthly, or even 3-monthly. As long as the annual doesn't increase!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,551 ✭✭✭✭Varik

    3 * 1-months was cheaper than the 3-months.

It'd weird they had that price to begin with, but unless you're skipping a lot of months and only subbing for set months for online I don't see the point.

Umm, games are showing "Purchased" for me even though I've not bought them yet.

EDIT: Looks to be sorted now!

Should this not be in the PlayStation Bargains thread?

Nah, Anthem at €25 still isn't a bargain hard to justify paying half that again for that mess.

Oh I totally agree on that. Foolishly paid for Legion of Dawn edition and haven't played it for over 2 months. It's my game purchase I regret this year, last year was The Crew 2

The Crew 2...ugh. That absolute GIMP that tries to be hip all the time that talks to you before the races haunts my dreams. He's the most cringe character I've ever heard.

Embarrassing on many levels that game.

If Anthem was an ubisoft game, I'd jump at it. As even after rocky starts or under-performing they work at it and build something up.

EA are as likely to cut and run.

Agreed. They support the Battlefront games because it's Star Wars and they have a licence to protect. Can't see them as willing to support Anthem long-term. More likely to start making a sequel and hope it can get by on "We fixed the issues from the last game for this game!"

Tried Sonic Mania last night, it's an impressive recreation of the originals BUT - the movement is awful in it. I don't remember Sonic being so slow to jump or turn, and it seems impossible to get any sort of speed going without jumping headfirst in to spikes or an enemy and losing all the rings. I don't even want to imagine what the likes of Chemical Zone would be like with that movement speed.

Might give it another go at some stage but pretty disappointed to be honest.

I did the first couple of levels and gave up. Nostalgia is a terrible thing...

Sonic Mania seems to be the exact same as classic Sonic to me. Maybe I was always just useless at it though! Thoroughly enjoying it.

I think I just don't have the time, or patience, for that type of gameplay anymore.

I’ll give it another try on the weekend but are you not finding left, right and even jumping have a bit of a delay to them? The Genesis/Mega Drive games were pure liquid smooth, I found it very jarring when I started Mania.

It’s almost like they decided that Sonic needed to have a physical weight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,272 ✭✭✭✭Atomic Pineapple

Yes I'm noticing that but I was under the impression that it was always like that. I may be remembering wrong but I have a memory of being frustrated at the original because of such a delay. I've not played Sonic since I was a child though.

I always remember sonic being shíte, even as a kid. Still downloaded it though.
