One critically acclaimed classic, and one critically acclaimed newer game. As well as the very well received Titans Souls.

    And people still complain

And people complain about them complaining, the circle is now complete.

    Until next month...

Glad I didn't go for their €40 offer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,478 ✭✭✭brianregan09

I'll download them and try them....This is a discussion forum so on 1st look the games look a poor offering my 1st time complaining and I'm well in my right too , PS4 is out long enough now for plus to offer some retail games

and I'll admit I'd be pretty pissed if we got Killzone or Knack aswell those should have been on it ages ago

Both sold very well at the time, Knack surprisingly well so when would have been a good time. Would it have been better when the player base was lower and more already had them.

The problem with all the monthly games offered with the various subscriptions is fairly simple.

If you are genuinely interested in a game you will more than likely buy it at release or pick it up in one of the numerous sales that MS, Sony and Steam run throughout the year.

Add to that the fact that there are maybe only one or two legitimately worthwhile games released every month and it is hardly surprising that out of the six games offered every month with PS+, chances are that most will either be duds or average at best.

Personally, I pay for PS+ because I have to to play online stuff and I'll occasionally get extra discounts on stuff on PSN with it. I might play one or two of the freebie games offered in any given year.

PS Plus is just about worth it for me as I don't play online. I should take a look through the past year and see how many games I played and whether it would have been cheaper to pick them up in sales.

I'm not bothered about what games come out each month. I don't expect AAA every time, or at all to be honest. But, i can wholeheartedly say that i have more than gotten value for money in 2016. Aside from playing games i never would have, and enjoying a lot of them (Grim Fandango Remastered, Zombi, Tabletop Racing: World Tour, Gone Home, Badland, Journey (don't get the love for this game)), coupled with AAA games more than worth it (GRID, DA: Origins, Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell, Lords of the Fallen), i got NBA 2K16. I hadn't played a basketball game since NBA Jam back on the SNES, and i reckon i've about 150 hours put into this at least. I'm in my 3rd season as a pro, have played every game with quarters set at 6 minutes.

For €50, i think i got well more than a bargain last year. Sure, this year seems to be off to a bad start, but i haven't played any of those games (except This War of Mine, which was amazing to play, but depressed me so much i stopped playing). And, at the end of the day, Xbox were charging the same amount and giving nothing for free until they had to start giving free games, so yurt in my book!

This War of Mine: The Little Ones is a decent game, put a few hours into it last night.

My 3 characters are all starving, tired and or injured.

I am logged into the store on my Vita and none of the games are showing up under PSPlus for me. I can't even find Titan Souls if I search for it. Strange

Buy the games on the website or your phone and then go into the 'view downloads' section in the store on the Vita (in the black bubble in the bottom left hand corner with the three dots) and download them from there. The store on the vita has been a bit crappy for the last while.

I'm happy with this month's offering. Small indie games suit me fine.

Has Shovel Knight been on the EU PS+ yet?

Sp I decided not to renew my PS3 PS plus account, but I have since discovered that some games are still available, which is strange?
It seems completely random and not down to date "purchased" or anything.
For example, Red Dead redemption, Saints row 3rd, brothers, rain, uncharted 3, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger are still playable

but Mass effect, bioshock, catherine, payday, the heist mafia 2 etc arent??

    any ideas on this?

The Jak and Daxter Trilogy as well. Haven't a clue why though…

Started playing the swindle this morning on vita. I think it's a very enjoyable but tough game. Has anyone else played much of it?

One of the games with gold games for february is Project Cars, wanted that for awhile.

Heres hoping Sony can offer it for february too on PS+.

Gravity Rush Remastered would make perfect sense, but sense rarely becomes reality, have a feeling we will see Salt and Sanctuary or Unravel.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,397 ✭✭✭✭Digital Solitude

S&S would be a nice one.

Project Cars was in this month's Humble Monthly too (PC sub for 8 games a month), so if MS are putting it up too if be surprised if Sony don't soonish

Last month wasn't bad & October had Resident Evil Remake & Transformers.
I'm torn on buying Sleeping Dogs for a fiver, as it may appear on this eventually

The only plus game I've put more than an hour into in the past few months was Stories, I tried that Transformer game but just couldn't like it at all and I known RE has a big enough following but a remake of a game that came out 15 years ago that I didn't have an interest in then isn't going interest me now.

Sleeping Dogs if you haven't played it before is well worth a fiver, brilliant game! But yeah, it's heavily discounted a lot, surprised it hasn't came up yet.

Will they announce next month's games today or will it be next Tuesday?

Probably next Tuesday. It's usually the week before they put them up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,163 ✭✭✭Beefy78

Sleeping Dogs is a no-brainer. Even if it comes onto Plus (again - it was given away on PS3) in a few months it is still only less than the cost of a pint that you're putting on the line. It's a huge amount of game for that price.

That gives them time to very carefully look at the brilliant GWG lineup for February and try to compete with it.... It's Sony though, so they'll probably just give us another side scrolling indie for the 2000th time. For the players?

One big game does not a great month make, if Sony offered up the four games that will be GWG in February you'd have people complaining about all of them bard Project Cars.
