Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No heat in downstairs rads- Riello RDB Oil burner

I had my oil run out so got a fill yesterday. I have bled the burner and it seems to be firing ok however I am only getting heat to upstairs rads. I think its a pressure problem as I originally unscrewed the nipple above the bleed screw in error which I believe is the pressure adjuster for the pump. Is this fixable or am I looking at getting a serviceman out? I dont believe its a rad issue as I closed off all the upstairs rads and the downstairs were still stone cold, no heat on either pipe on rads.

Update: I found it was one of the pumps inside, the bottom one in pic, hit it few thumps and bobs your uncle. However I am still curious if I have done anything wrong by turning the small grey screw above the hexagonal bleed screw?

Yeah thats the one I turned, everythings working ok now, what exactly does it do? Am I causing damage to boiler even if its working ok now?

It will either give the burner too much or too little oil. At the very least it will waste oil and at worse will soot up the boiler or burn or warp baffles.
