I just made a delicious loaf tin of bread with this recipe
    http://www.bordbia.ie/consumer/recipes/desserts/pages/traditionalbrownsodabread.aspx

Only changed I made, I added a small handful sunflower seeds and black molasses instead of honey.

It is delicious but completely lopsided. Half of it is about three inches taller on the right hand side. Any ideas?!
Oh and it it breaks apart when slicing it!

Did you mix the bread soda well into the dry ingredients before adding liquid? Might not have got even mixing so rose in one part only. Is your oven dodgy?

Did you cut a line in the top of the bread before you put it in the oven? That can help to avoid it rising unevenly. I find the Odlums website really good, here's a demo from it on bread in a loaf tin

Oven could be a bit dodgy actually, nothing ever cooks at the time a recipe says!

Nope.. i was going to, and then I thought it would split.. like if I made a soda round thing (the ones that split into four pieces if you know what I mean!)
