    Currently in 1st year of the ordinary level mechanical engineering degree but thinking of changing to automation..has anyone done this course and what's your opinions on it?

    I'm doing a masters in mechatronics and automation at the moment. My degree is in mechanical engineering.

    You can't go wrong taking the automation option as there is big demand for automation engineers at the moment and definitely for the next few years as factories are becoming more automated.

    There will be more electronics and computer programming to cover compared to the mechanical course
