Just watching the replay of the Moldovan goal again. You wouldn't see what Duffy did in League 1 in England on a saturday afternoon. Stepping up to play offside when the attacker was 10 yards inside his own half. AND, he was running like his laces were tied together. Risible.

It's hard to blame the keeper over the defence when it gets to a one on one.

Himself and Clark are good at the tackling and in the box stuff but positioning wise they don't even come close to O'Shea. He's a vital marshall for our defence

I understand this tactic against Germany. It's your best bet as it allows you keep men behind the ball.

That free kick summed us up. Duffy had no options for a short one, Whelan strolling forward back to the ball in acres of space. If a team wins a free inside it's own half and the first thing they try to do is get everyone in the box and lump it forward against Moldova they're a bad team.

My problem is he was supposed to be the answer to so many of our problems, and we're drawing with Moldova. My problem isn't with him, I would be grand with him starting most games for us; it's with overly simplistic and idiotic punditry.

Still think we will win this, but my god it'll be a mild embarrassment either way. We're short on talent, but we're a hell of a lot better than the dreck of the last game an a half.

Yep people are forgetting that Ireland are 4th seeds, and Moldova are 5th seeds. Not that it matters much as Wales are 1st seeds and Georgia 6th seeds.

I don't think he's been too bad myself, but I just don't think he's at all as good as Dunphy & co continuously try to make him out to be. And I don't think they would try to make him out to be, if he were starting more often.

Any other player would be absolutely slaughtered for that missed volley just now.
