Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My saorview box went so I missed the 2nd goal

Missed the 3rd goal looking for a fuse :(

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

McClean does fall over a lot due to fact his feet can keep up with his thoughts.

Former Soviet state though....bit dodgy? :)
I actually went to college with a Moldovan and she was a stunner. Absolutely lovely girl to talk to as well.

Dodgy if you go near that sub state inside Moldova, name eludes me now but that place is still fully communist and completely wack

I'd call that a good omen. Leave your tv off and I'll let you know when we score again

Hilarious how much McLean gets slated

He's a winger who very rarely gets assists or goals. It's very deserved.

Tonight has been a rare exception.

Liking to look of that Moldavian player Catscan, he has some good skills!

(sorry I know his name isn't that but it sounds like it on the commentary!!)

Easy to say now, but we all saw the performance from him before the goals.

Gave the usual one hundred percent he does, made more sprints than any other Irish player, had a few efforts on goal. Yeah he's limited but if all the playersnhad his attitude we wouldn't see the **** performances we're used to.

I think Ward has been our best player in the two matches,

    He has improved a ton

    Rightly.

Ignoring how brainless he's been with the ball would be stupid. You'd also be basing your analysis of a game purely on the result.

I'm not going to pretend he's had a great game.

    Go away out of that

    Goals get results

    He scored the goals

Which in turn gets us the points

It's nonsense finger pointing that's all about an apparent dislike of a player that everyone jumps on because it's the cool thing to do

    Fair play to McLean

    Different Rogers.

    Surely a second yellow there?

Mcclean has finished nicely, easy for him when he has no choice.

Transinistria I think. Sheriff Tiraspol who have qualified for the EL group stages before are from there.

Most are praising him for tonight but overall he is a headless chicken in most matches and to say otherwise is daft. If he put his head up he would be a better player has the skills

McClean was poor for the most part. Gave the ball away a lot and ran down blind alleys.

Scoring two goals against a team that will finish bottom of this group, and who prior to this game scored none and conceded 7 goals, doesn't convince me he merits a starting place. I would have grave concerns about him vs Austria. Remember how awful he was away to Poland in the crucial qualifier in the last campaign?

Great result but Ireland huffed and puffed to 3 points.

The ref has certainly let it flow tonight. Not a bad thing either to be honest but unusual for a European ref who are normally rigid to the letter of the law.
