Hi,

Maybe some of yous could give me a bit of hope here...

I was diagnosed in June 19th 2015 at Connolly Hospital, dermatology deportment. I was 38 that time

Surgery was done in June 26th 2015 in Connolly Hospital, The whole mole was cut and piece of he tissue was sent away for a biopsy.

RESULTS: The stage O - melanoma-in-situ where the melanocytes have not penetrated beyond the top skin layer.

Second surgery few weeks after, 3mm of healthy skin around removed mole was taken to confirm that nothing is spreading.

RESULTS: Clear!

Further treatment is not required although I return for check ups every 5-6 months.
/C
Even I know and my doctors know that early detection and treatment of Melanoma has a very high chance of cure and prognosis.

MY QUESTION
What chances I have to take of life insurance and mortgage protection with above diagnose?
Would you know...?
After reading about it over internet I'm confused. In States and some EU countries most of these cases, if detected in “in situ” stage may be rated at “Standard.”
I will meet a broker on Thursday, but he said that one of his client, diagnosed with breast cancer at age 36, got declined in all insurance companies (!!)

I would advice anyone who have kids get life insurance ...

In my case...after waiting 18 months for a visit just for my moles check up, as I was curious about them, as I have so many different ones, in a first minute of viewing my dermatologist said to me - see you next week! For a surgery!

check out this guy- he specialises in getting life cover for people with medical issues. I dealt with him recently after having heart issues at aged 30. I didn't get cover in the end but he was able to tell me which companies to apply to without having to fill out a 50 page application form for each

<please pm details - Mod>

Thank You very much,
One kind member of this forum pm me immediately and passed me on good news.
My broker checked it as well, and I can be insured, no problem - on standard rates but with skin cancer exception. After 3 years, if I will be ok and healthy my policy will be back to normal in 100%. Will pray for it.

Take care

Considering the thread is from last year, you might be better off sending them a PM asking for the info.
