    Hi my car Volvo S40 has failed it's NCT
    The passenger wing mirror needs replacing.
    Quote from Volvo is 400 euro for the part and if I get it privately fitted, it takes two hours as it comes in a few parts and has to be put together and that will cost 200 euro. 600 euro is an awful lot of money
    Any suggestions on getting the part elsewhere?
    Or is there anyway around passing the NCT by getting a wing mirror fitted that isn't a Volvo part and looks odd (ie mismatched ) to the rest of the car but does the job?Thanks
