Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do people still get excited by after -Christmas sales and still queue up or are there too many sales year-round these days to even bother now?

Depends on the store. If it's Harvey Norman, then no one pays any attention. If it is Brown Thomas, you know it's a real sale.

Do you shop in Brown Thomas or BT2?

Is the BT2 Grafton Street gone now or moved into the main store. There's some other shop there now selling some type of discounted clearance clothes/stock.

Have you ever queued up all night for a sale or concert tickets?

I was using my tube this week so I still have some left I can give you but you need a steady hand as well as a gun (it's adhesive/sealant)

Are you any good at DIY?

They already have names. Although I don't always call them what's on the dog license. Down cúntface!

Do you remember years ago an add on telly for rolly toys sold in Banaghans of Cloughjodran and Mick Lally did the voice over and said 'if they were big enough I'd ride them meself?'

I'm not attracted to my vehicle in that sense. Odd question.

How many bodies do you think you'd fit in the boot without dismembering them?

I didn't carry it. Just left it in the boot. Bit awkward carrying it and driving.

Just on this, me and a friend were walking up a local town a while back when we came on an old drunk we knew having a slash, he had trouble pronouncing his Rs , howya pat, ways happening I said, he looked back and said, I'm just afta having intacoase with pawked caw, I thought he said, ha I said, he repeated his sentence, so I said, you're after having intercourse with a parked car! No, no, he then carefully said his statement again, I'm afta having intacoase with pawik o ha,aa. Now Pauric O Hara is a publican in the town, he meant him, I don't know if it was true or not but it was funny.

@eamon Are you sure he's definitely local? I used have a 'friend' who spoke exactly like that. A guy who used to be a concert pianist originally from Hong Kong who went to one of those posh English boarding schools where they wore gowns. He used play the bodhran banging it out to The Pogues Sally McLennane and lashing back pints of the black stuff. Good times! It wouldn't surprise me if he's a drunk now wandering around your home town.

Anyone else coming down with a bleedin' dose or is it just me?

I started yesterday but some early intervention seems to be paying dividends.

When playing golf and with the ball behind a tree, do you attempt the hero shot and try and play an almost impossible draw or bite the bullet and chip out sideways for a clear approach to the green?

I'm no hero, I chip out sideways, most of the fellas I play with are as s***e as me so it'll even up at some stage. We don't play too often anyway.

Have you ever cheated at golf?

    Absolutely!

Real answer - I've never played it once. Golf and cricket would be in the toss-up for me when it comes to the 'watching paint dry' award.

Did you excel at sports in school or were you completely rubbish like me?

If asked to pick a number between one and ten what do you normally pick?

Usually used where you meet someone you know, stop to have a chat but you're in a hurry and want to get away but they keep insisting on talking. Same on the phone if trying to end a conversation.

    Do you get offended easily?

Far too much. I find myself swearing at inanimate objects a lot. Every new year I vow to stop swearing but I can't :(

Is there any point at all in making NY resolutions?
