    Ronan Dennis has started ;)

    Everyone has started.

11 riders still have to reach Intermediate Check #1.

Ryan Mullen still has the quickest time at that time point.

Dennis is ~3 sec SLOWER than Mullen at time check #1.
Dumoulin is ~14 sec SLOWER than Mullen at time check #1.
Kiryienka is ~5 sec FASTER than Mullen at time check #1

Kiriyenka slower than Martin but faster than Mullen at 1st time check.

I think the fact that the big guns are only getting small margins over Mullen is testament to the quality of Ryan's time. Could be very close to the end, but medalling, and possibly the rainbow jersey is not beyond him.

I think I can guess what he said when Ryan watched himself of him going over the line.

So everyone has gone through Intermediate Check #1 and Mullen has the third fastest time...

... starting to bite nails... sitting at the edge of the seat...

Looking at his start number, I think he was expected to do okay, but not exactly be a challenger. That may not be the case in the future!

    Go on Ryan boy!

Not that he can do anything now but sit in a chair but you know what I mean.

Looking like 3rd now for Mullen?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

    So it's looking like...
    Tony Martin will win Gold.
    Kiryienka for silver.
    Dennis or Mullen for bronze.

This is going to be close!!!

If you offered 3rd before it started I'd say he'd bite your arm off for it.

    Yeah its a fantastic result

I think he will finish 4th here, which would be absolutely fantastic and absolutely sickening too!

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

    Tony Martin is smashing this.

Kiryienka has lost a few seconds to Mullen since the 2nd time check based on the live timing now.
