North East France in low season

Does anybody know a site that I can go to for Easter 2017 between the 9th and 16th with, (here is the issue), a heated/indoor swimming pool on site and a site that can accommodate a motorhome and a few kids.

Assume arrival to Cherbourg on a big boat and a willingness to drive for 3 hours, or 4 but getting grumpy. In any direction with roads I will drive.

PM me as I want to book and am paranoid about not getting anything.

You'll have a job getting to North Eastern france from Cherbourg in 3 or 4 hours! :pac:

At that time of the year, it'd probably be easier (i.e. give you a lot more choice) to park on any aire for free, or pick any camping municipal of your choice and go to the local swimming (heated) swimming pool.

Can't say I'd fancy NE France at that time of the year though - not cold enough to be a proper winter holiday, and a bit hit-and-miss weatherwise for a spring break. I speak as someone who's been there this year in January (lovely weather - but the locals told me I'd just missed a dreadful week), May (lovely weather again for one week, then v.dull but dry) and two weeks ago (gloomy, cold and drizzly).

Thanks for all the info from all contributors. The focus has changed to suit a (good bit) shorter trip to a site such as the likes provided by Haven in the UK. It may now be a hop to Scotland and one close by there, or one close to the Dublin to Wales ferry. We figured we wanted most to have the kids access to swimming and any kids clubs or other would be a bonus. Weather in France not a sure thing at all. We have decided that there are sites in the UK a good deal closer, and will do that now. Sacrificing access to the French experience and culture for a more local option..

North Eastern France is a days drive from Cherbourg, I usually give it three, but here's an alternative.

It is part of a municipal complex which includes a heated indoor pool it also has a city tram (LUAS to us) stop right outside the gate.
You have a choice of basic motorhome parking within the site http://www.camping-car-park.com/en/aire-camping-car-park/nantes-petit-port with ehu for about €10.90 all in, or you can opt for a full facility camping pitch which would cost in the region €30 including the two children but its in this years ACSI book http://www.campingcard.co.uk/france/pays-de-la-loire/loire-atlantique/nantes/nantes-camping-116002/?l=region for €19 and you get 7 nights for the price of 6 the price includes two adults but you would have to pay extra for the children.

Nantes is a beautiful city with lots to to for all ages and is just four and a half hours drive from Cherbourg, all toll free motorway.
