Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi I'm just wondering would anyone know how to insure my son who is 17 on a 1.6tdci focus van named under his mother she will be using the van everyday but she can't get commercial insurance so if we put it down private insurance and tax so he could get insured in it privately named under her would it work? She has bought a 07 one? Thanks all advice appreciated

Insurance companies tend to calculate the premium while looking at the greater risk, your son. It might be a little cheaper as a named driver but then you have the private tax cost and running expenses. I'd buy him a cheap 1Ltr runaround and look for quotes on his own policy. Don't be surprised if they're anywhere between €4K and €6K though. And that's if you can actually get a quote.
