Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Today I received a letter from my insurance provider stating that they had disclosed my personal data to a third party(unnamed) which included name, address, telephone # and vehicle registration.

they also confirmed that no financial information has been disclosed and that the data has been deleted and steps taken to prevent this isolated incident happening again.

Has anyone ever come across this kind of incident before? Id like to know who my information was leaked to if possible.

That would probably be classed as sensitive commercial info! Top secret!

No, I don't think they are even aware of the word irony.

There are very tight controls on Data Protection. This could have been as simple as someone putting a letter with your details on it in the wrong envelope. However, once discovered, the person must bring it to the attention of their compliance officer and a full investigation will be conducted. Sometimes it is overkill, but safeguards like this are designed to protect us all. Contact the person who wrote to you for more info
