If he was trying to take the paint off it he'd have hit driver. Thomas hit an unbelievable drive into a neck about 15 yards wide, it's just a difficult drive.

First three matches the Americans have won two and halved the other. I mean Europe are still ahead but it's not as easy as it appeared for Europe at the start of the day's play.
