Licence Renewal

So a good news story. Got my .22 rifle licence renewed.

Handed in the renewal application 2 months ago.

Got some post tuesday. The first letter being an acknowledgement of receipt of the application and telling me it may be 3 months before I hear back. But I should hear back by 11 Nov.

Fair enough.

The second letter was the actual grant letter.

Both the acknowledgement of receipt of renewal paperwork ( from 2 months ago ) and grant paperwork are dated 11th October.

Both arriving on the same day :rolleyes:

Firstly congrats.

Secondly, you say the date on the grant is the 11th of October and you got them on Tuesday. The grant would be "expired" already.

Not an issue as a phone call would sort it out with a new grant, but did you pay for the license? Any problems?

Don't ask how, but for some reason October wasn't the tenth month in my head. Think i got out of bed too early. :D


On that note, congrats OP and disregard the mumblings above by me. The penny has eventually dropped.
