Fairly bad commentary on the UCI Channel finish!

"Its CAVENDISH, CAVENDISH..... CAVENDISH (he is about 4th at this stage) ..CAVEND.... oh no... its...... (long pause)

    Sagan wins

    1. Sagan
    2. Cavendish
    3. Boonen

    Very impressive podium

Wow what a year for Sagan ..

    2016
Sagan becomes the first Slovakian rider to win a Monument classic, winning the 2016 Tour of Flanders.[11] In the process, he assumes the number one position in the UCI World Ranking.[12]

Sagan surpasses Hugo Koblet and Ferdinand Kübler for most stage wins at the Tour de Suisse, with his twelfth victory coming on the second stage of the 2016 Tour de Suisse.[13]

Sagan becomes the second rider to win the points classification in the Tour de France five times.[14][15]

After the event is opened to elite riders for the first time, Sagan becomes the
inaugural winner of the men's road race at the 2016 European Road Championships.[16][17]

Sagan tops the individual rankings for the 2016 UCI World Tour, doing so for the first time.[18]

Sagan retains the World Road Race Championships, in Qatar, becoming the first rider to retain the world title since Paolo Bettini in 2006 and 2007.

great finish from sagan cav just lost his wheel into the finish amazing how small the margins are in the end ( only saw the last 20km or so)

Commentator completely threw me at the end there... Cav, Cav, Cav... wait... no its Sagan.

What a man Sagan is. Had he not punctured he would have added an Olympic MTB gold to his haul this year too.

And this years Nobel prize for sport goes to.... Peter Sagan.:D

    degenkolb the gentelman -not
    http://pic.twitter.com/sEZfkJ9B8q

He's pushing himself to the absolute limit - as shown in how much he was suffering after abandoning - & frustrated as f... The Belgians were trying to frustrate him & as that showed, it worked. I'd cut him some slack when killing himself in a futile cause in such heat.

I think Sagan is wonderful, but let's not get carried away, he was never going to win the Olympic MTB Gold.

We'll never know if he could have done it but at least he had balls to try

Why would anyone put the boot into Dan😉.

What happened to Sam Bennett. Didn't see much after but just seen him shaking his hand like numbness or something similar

His riding style caused the punctures. He's a great ambassador for the sport, fantastic rider.

I'd say his big regret from the Olympics is picking MTB over road. Obviously things could've played out differently, but if Van Avermaet made it to the end, you'd fancy Sagan to make it too. Would really have been carnage on that descent if Sagan was leading a chase/ trying to get away? Mountain biking was always a long shot, but then the days in the hills away from the road probably helped him mentally too.

Really disappointed in Degenkolb tbh. I like the spectacle of people in cleats trying to fight as much as anyone, but squirting the water bottle was pathetic. I wouldn't be assuming its just water either, in which case it probably wasn't pleasant either (I've seen the sticky mess left behind by some of the mixes/ tabs when they've leaked and dried on my own gear).

I doubt there's much love for cav, but again makes the split in the wind when other sprinters and some classics guys couldn't hold it. I'm sure he wouldn't be swapping his palmares, but shows he could have potential in the spring if he was committed to it.
