It's the 4th or 5th one that has delivered blades, hubs and nacelles from Denmark for Galway wind park.
Components being delivered every night from both Galway harbour and Foynes.
Going to be coming in for the best part of another year.

They are absolutely massive. I'll be honest, I do like the windfarms out around Moycullen-Oughterard-Spiddal bog areas.
    Certainly the way forward.

How do you get them out of the docks? You've narrow streets one way and a rail bridge the other.

Middle of the night job, involving escorts and taking one way streets the wrong way.

Do they not just go down lough atalia? Thought that was the reason they lowered the road last

Going out lough Atalia, up through wellpark and over to the tuam road, same way as the other ones went before. They are bigger than the ones that came before. Tower sections are also bigger and are being brought up from Foynes making a 4 hour trip every night.

I believe they widened the road at the Westwood junction to help the trucks turn the corner and go up N59.

Yes the road was widened at the Westwood, new slip road on top of tuam road/boher na threab, roundabout modified at headford road and lay-bys on the n59 at roscahill. Give Goodwind are providing the transport along with a few other sub contractors.
