I am after purchasing a driveway alert device to warn me of any person coming in my drive. The receiver takes 3 C batteries. I was hoping to get a plug in adaptor instead. There is a slot for a 6v plug in adaptor. I am looking at Sharp 6v .3A 300 mA.Is this suitable for the job.The device has a range of approx. 120 m.The device is called a Hyfive Driveway Alarm.

The voltage and amperage looks ok, you need to check the size of the 'tip' to ensure it is the correct dimension.
