    If the diesel-gate wasn't enough, the VW is getting into some serious problems with their factory equipped CNG cars.

    VW decided to save a few € and is/was using steel tanks for the CNG (which stored under much higher pressure than LPG) installed under the car. Steel + weather = corrosion...

    And the effects are... stunning...

    Some CNG stations prohibit VW cars from buying CNG anymore, unless documentation showing that the tanks were replaced is produced.

    Under additional pressure VW agreed to replace the tanks - but you would be naive if you though that they will be plastic and corrosion-proof - they are using the same steel tanks, which probably are a bit cheaper...

    VW is under scrutiny, so the scale is probably a bit exaggerated, but still this looks deadly...

    And in other news Samsung have agreed to supply the VW group with batteries for their electric cars.
