Hard drive dock query

Hi Folks,
I have an old PC i used in college that has died. There are lots of files Id love to be able to retrieve but I dont know what type of dock to get.

The hard drive in the PC is a maxtor d740x-6l .

does anyone know what type of hard drive this is, I tried looking online but i may as well have been staring into a field of thistles.

I just want to get a dock to suit but dont know what Im looking for.

Any help appreciated

Its an IDE drive.If you have a newer desktop you can connect the drive to,you can get a sata to ide adapter/usb to ide cable.If using a laptop you will need a power supply for the drive too.There is a kit on adverts I think.

thanks for the help, its all way over my head.

that'll do but those ones have a bad rep as they are cheap Chinese ones that I think everyone bought on here including myself which have died
