Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are Beacon Motors in Sandyford gone?

    Hi,

Anybody know if Beacon motors in Sandyford have ceased trading?

I bought a car from them recently which is still under 3 month warranty but their website appears to be gone and they are no longer listed on Carzone/carsireland as dealers?

Thankfully I have no issues with the car, just curious as they have been around for a long time.... I know when I bought the car the guy was saying that they were having trouble sourcing decent second hand cars to sell....

    Anybody heard anything?

Have you tried ringing them? Google says they're at (01) 293 0098. If the landline isn't being answered then you have your answer.

Is the warranty underwritten by a third party? If not then it was just an unwritten promise and isn't worth the paper it's (not) written on.

As a result of the drop in sterling, some main dealers (incl MSL) have started importing used models from the UK, this would directly affect secondhand dealers like Beacon Motors and might explain their sudden demise.

As I said, there are no issues with the car, in fact it has a very very full main $tealer history from Frank Keane BMW right up to last year and I got the full breakdown of the detail from them....

Just curious really..... unless something breaks in the next two months of course, then I'll be more than curious!! :)
