Hi, Im just wondering what you would recommend in a 40 inch? also is a smart tv worth the extra? I have a realistic budget but id definately be open to an ex display/ opened box model if you had anything that might suit..also what is the story with warranty/delivery to west cork?? thanks for any assistance you can offer..

HI Jcanty85, thanks for the post

With regards to the smart query, to be honest at 40" and above, it is rare to get a tv without smart features now. The smart functions can be very handy, with catchup TV, netflix/amazon video streaming etc, depending on models, and also some would have screen mirroring for showing the screen of tablets/smartohones on the TV also

    For a reasonable starter model without 4k, have a look at the Sony 40WD653- http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201881-bravia-kdl40wd653.aspx at £349/€439 - a 40" smart TV 1080p
If you wanted to go for a 4k TV, you could look at the Panasonic TX40DX600 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201943-viera-tx40dx600b.aspx at £489/€599

At the minute we don't have any 40 open box/ex display models, but will keep you posted if anything comes up soon

    Cheers
    Brian
