I had a search and couldn't find anything on Boards so I'll give it a go here.
We have a small record collection that we want to sell on to someone who would appreciate them. They range from albums worth a few quid to over 500 euro.
Does anyone know where to go to try sell them on.
    Any help appreciated.

I think you have a few options if you're looking to sell. It really depends on how big the collection is and how much you want for them.

Selling them individually online will maximise your 'profits' but can be very time consuming depending on the size of the collection.

Selling them in bulk to one or a few collectors will get them off your hands quicker, free up space/cash in hand, but don't expect to get the 'full value' of every item.

Selling to a shop (there's plenty of shops in Dublin and around the country) will get you a fraction of their value (30-40% usually) but you get rid of them there and then.

I hope that helps a bit, it gives you some options anyway.

I collect myself so might be interested in what you have. Even if its not for me I have friends who collect different genres etc so might know someone who would be.

Buy Record Collector magazine which has tons of listings and specialised sections where you can trace the rarity of your records, I think Spiral Scratch is another magazine that you can do this with too, no doubt there is numerous sites online specialising in this too.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

The Deep Purple, Rush and Zeppelin stuff could be worth something. Anything from a few bucks to hundreds of bucks depending on when and where you bought them. If they are UK original pressings in good nick the Zeps will be worth their weight in gold.

The Deep Purple records won't be worth much, even if mint. Made in Japan would fetch 20 euro max if you were selling it privately. The Zep stuff may get you more if they are first pressings. An item with one LP missing, like your copy of The Wall, would sell for peanuts. You should head over to Discogs and check each record you have against their database to try to work out which release you own. It'll save you getting ripped off if you have something more valuable than you initially thought.

A charity shop is the best place for those.

This is not intended to be offensive, but there is nothing there of any particular value based on the information available. Obviously, if there are any first pressings, etc. these will be worth more, but there's nothing on the list that stands out (to me anyway) as particularly rare or desireable. Check against Discogs to be sure, though.
