    Hi All,

New Development meets being held in Athlone this November and December. Very little options on the calendar for those not interested in Cross Country so with this in mind, these Development meets are targeted at those preparing for indoors. Official timing system and variety of events 60m, 150m, 300m, 600m, 1000m and 3000m and field events - long jump, high jump and shot put. December meet will have some additional events and a showcase event to be announced shortly.

The November Development meet was a great success - small numbers but good feedback and happy athletes. Results on the Website and Facebook Page

The December meet will have additional events - including 60m Hurdles and 300m.

Registration is open now on www.believeandachieve.ie/register

    There will also be some showcase events - including a Women's 300m and a Men's 400m

The highlight of the eve will be a World Record attempt - 4 x 1 mile indoors with the team made up of John Travers, Eoin Everard, Paul Robinson and Kieran Kelly. They'll be racing a European Select team so should make for an electric atmosphere for the family - so drag them along!

a bunch of young athletes from the club were down for the last one, thought it was very good. Will probably have more for the next one.
    (bit pricy though!)

Thanks a mill, appreciate that feedback. The November Meet made a loss. We had to price it a bit steeper as the rental of the arena so high and first year so numbers were expected to be small. The intention is not to profit but break even so thanks for the feedback and we'll take it on board.

I wasn't down myself, but the coaches who were said it was well-run, and great experience for the athletes who were there. As I said, we'll probably have more down next month, including younger athletes
