Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, quick introduction, I'm a long time poster on boards although not as active in the last few years as I have 3 kids under 5 1/2.
Anyway to the point, we've always had springers but unfortunately our last one was pts recently at the grand old age of 14 and we're now ready to look for another one. Not being a fan of puppy farms, we're looking for either a preowned young enough one or if someone here can recommend somewhere to get one (not fussy on male or female) or if someone has a gunshy one they would be happy to pass onto a good home.
Personally, I myself have qualifications in animal care and have worked in a vets and have references so the dog would be going to a very loving home. Only thing, they must be good with young kids and cats (we've 2 who are used to dogs) Based in Dublin but willing to travel and cover any costs, if anyone can help, please pm me or post below.
    Thanks Amberjack :)

Don't know where you are located, but our local Dog Warden often has a list of people looking for specific dogs. I'm talking about the Cavan Pound, at Monery, Crossdoney. The county council website will have details. www.cavancoco.ie
I got a Red setter there ten years ago, and he was a great dog. Useless for the gun, but a great dog.
