Sad to say just got text from TbL, his calf went at just after halfway. Had to pull the plug.

Bear in mind these splits are gun time so they probably have 30 to 40 seconds in hand

    :(

Looked like he'd been slowing alright.

Said he was cruising up till 11 and felt a twinge in it then, went altogether after halfway.

    AMK 2:07:39 thru 30k

Looking good, especially if that's gun time.

Looking for something <2:29:15 at the 35k split.

However, as Paulie mentioned he may have time in hand on the chip, so not necessarily a disaster if he's within a minute above that.

    2:28:47 thru 35k. He's speeding up! :)

If that's the case, AMK has a minute or more in hand as he was behind TbL after 5k.

And probably a bit more to come off the chip time.

Great & brilliantly executed run AMK.
    Very well done.

Super stuff. Don't know the lad at all but that's a sweet result. sub3, pb and neg split (maybe).

    Nice.

Great run by AMK, looks like he made up 354 places between 5k and the finish, going by that many people must have felt good.

Looking at the results there, Jesus a lot of fellas in the 3.00.00 to 3.00.10 bracket.

Hope they're gun times. 2 on 3.00.00 exactly!!

Thanks all. I got excited reading about my race!!
Stayed well behind the pacers for 4m or so. caught them at 5-6mile.
Ran ahead of them from 10m and kept motoring til 22-23m.
Didnt see TBL from half way onwards. Disappointed for him.

Purposely slowed for last 2 (6:57/6:59) to avoid cramp.

    2:58:01 on the watch.

Thanks for the online support. Im truely humbled.

Actually, no, I deserve it :)

I think Kabuxa and her buddy came in at 4:48 - hopefully a good experience for them.
