That was hard on Sarah. Terrible.

This Rebecca thing is pretty barbaric really. I'm not one of those people clutching my pearls because there's a murder plot on a teatime soap but the fact they've dragged it out for weeks now is pretty disturbing. If he'd just killed her straight up I'd be fine with it but it's bordering on torture porn now.

Were they suggesting that Lachlan got rid of Rebecca in the pig pen? :(

How odd is it that Robert or Victoria don't seem involved with Sarah's story at all. Dianne has been a bit and she's not even biologically her family. It's double odd in Robert's case given Aaron is actually related to Sarah too.

Is her body in the suit case?

It is strange and surely Debbie and Sarah would want Andy knowing, I know he is on the run but social media

Yeah, at least with Andy his absence is explainable but have they even mentioned him?

They wouldn't even have to put Robert or Victoria in the other storyline but a throw away line about just getting back from visiting Sarah or something wouldn't be so hard, would it?

Does anybody know when the Lachlan story is going end?
It might be mid October during their Birthday week.

That's what all the speculation is. It's hard to think how it can last that long, unless he kills again?

I think its ridiculous that nobody else, not one other person in the village would think of trying to get in contact with her. And knowing she's not right wouldn't be contacting the police or whatever to check she's actually ok.

The whole story is just ridiculously dragged out at this point.

Robert did go to the police but Lachlan faked a phone call from her and that seemed to be enough to put everyone off the scent.
I know her memory loss is being used as an excuse for erratic behaviour but you'd think that should be all the more reason for them to worry. The fact she only ever contacts Lachlan should raise eyebrows too. She was living with Victoria, I think, had just got back with Ross, left her son with Robert, you know..... it's just not believable that nobody is suspicious. PLUS!! They all had the idea planted in their minds by Liv that Lachlan is a nutter but have all dismissed it completely despite all the very obvious signs.

What is the complete obsession in Emmerdale with kidnapping people? Not a week goes by without someone being tied up with ropes, chains, zipties etc and gagged by duct tape or socks and left in some lock-up/garage/abandoned house..

Either the producers have a serious bondage fetish or the characters are extremely weak when it comes to dealing with conflict.

But that is what rural life is like. ;)

It all went downhill when they took "Farm" out of the title and let all those townies in.

Is anyone even from Yorkshire on it? I think Vanessa and Tracy are the only ones with proper thick Yorkshire accents. Everyone else sounds like they're from Manchester.

Its just weird though, there has been literally dozens of kidnappings in this soap over the years when compared to the other big soaps. Plus isn't this thing with Rebecca a complete copy of when Andy was chained up by Phelan? (Which was very far fetched, a bit strapping lad like Andy allowing himself to be tied up and not protesting once by his 60 something captor who had heart issues!)

I really noticed tonight. How does Megan constantly go around in those high heals and tight skirts/dresses.
I don't know any woman who does this.

There is a woman in the office I work in that dresses like that, dresses, skirts, high heels, I just think how do u look any different then when u go out, not to mention walking around in heels all day, it’s bad enough wearing them on a night out...

I have no idea but you'd nearly hope he has at this point. Put the poor girl out of her misery. It really is a poorly judged storyline in every way.

Atleast Emmerdale aren’t obsessed with guns anymore

Another storyline that's been very poor is Ross' acid attack. The focus was hardly even on him, bar the initial aftermath. It turned into another "poor Debbie" plot and now he's back on drugs and he'll probably just OD or end up on the run or something stupid.
Actually, if you think about it, the stupid Lachlan plot has ruined Ross' too because he was just getting back with Rebecca and they could have explored the emotional and psychological issues Ross was dealing with a bit more but instead they had Rebecca dissappear on him.

Debbie shouldn’t of gotten away with it

She really shouldn't have. You have to question where the writers thought they were going with that. They could have done an acid attack storyline without having a main character involved in it.
I see a lot of abuse from hardcore fans at yer man who was in charge, Iain something, and when you think about some of the things that have happened the last year or so you can kind of see where the anger is coming from.

I hope Joe goes off with Priya or anyone

I just don’t want anyone watching they could do an acid attack on someone and get away with it.

As for acid how is it available to buy in the U.K surely it should be illegal to buy

That was really one of the reasons I gave up watching it. It became all about guns and shooting people. Ridiculous stuff.

As for Debbie, it's the rule that she is never held responsible for anything.

Haha Emmerdale writers weren’t expecting the heatwave we’ve been having here...

They only film about 6 weeks in advance. We were well into the heatwave at that point.
