Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do you need a freesat top box to get UK channels with this TV? I have a dish for freesat and aerial for saorview reception.

Plug ur dish directly into the TV and it'll pick up all the UK freeview channels

Does anyone know the difference between these TVs?

    First TV:

Hisense 50 inch Item model number: HE50KEC315UWTS
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hisense-inch-Widescreen-Smart-Freeview/dp/B015Q9LERM/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

    Second TV;

Hisense 49 Inch Item model number: H49M3000

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hisense-49-Widescreen-Smart-Freeview/dp/B01E1QQHPK/ref=pd_sim_504_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YA27H0KZV1KV9Y4GW204

Whats the difference does anyone know, bar the extra inch and price of course?

Does both TV have HDR as I know the 49" does. Anyone have the 50" TV?

One last question on the 55m3300 !! I'm a little confused about the hdr update ....is it only available via hdmi or usb ! Or will it be available through the likes of netflix on the actual set ?

Hi, i have an Hisense H49M3000, and would like to install HDR update (HE49K300UWTS_pkg_20160920.tar.gz)

The link posted on this thread is not working to me, gives an xml error.

There is any other source to get this firmware file?

I'm from Portugal, and it's safe to install this on my H49M3000, right?

    Thanks in advance.

300! I'd guess its a couple of extra features. Have you checked Hisense website?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,564 ✭✭✭✭Skerries

actually I had a look around for updates and it is very hard to find anything as the website is shíte
where have people being getting their firmware updates?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5 hasafly

That's the point....I can't see any difference on website.

    Anyone knows?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,449 ✭✭✭Ivefoundgod

Go to avforums and look for the threads on theses TVs. Plenty of links to firmware, French I think and obviously use at your own risk.

Yes...it's from Hisense French website, so it's "safe" / "official", right?

I couldn't say one way or the other, you won't get anyone who's going to tell you it'll definitely work it's on your own risk. I don't have the TV so haven't installed it, don't know if anyone else here has. It might be an official source but that's no guarantee it will work as if you have problems hisense will tell you the firmware was for French TVs. If you're that concerned just wait for the OTA update.

The 49" for 399 us what I've been looking at, but to get the above would be perfect!

43" is down to £299 today - gonna pull the trigger I think - will cancel the order if the 49" drops similarly tomorrow...

Ironically, I missed out on this bargain due to a card snafu!
    I think it's a sign - I was really holding out for a price drop on the 49" :)

    SAMSUNG
    UE40KU6020

Same Price é408 with current conversion rate.
Either pick it up in Belfast or Pay Extra for Delivery.

Might be better quality than Hisense.

I ended up caving before breakfast, never mind lunch.

I am getting it for £256. Long story...

Does not ship until Saturday, so I can always cancel it tomorrow if I get a better deal.

    Long story short:
Placed order for £299. Accidentally selected parcel motel address.
Tried to change the address, which you can usually do easily enough. Got an error.
Contacted chat. Asked rep to change. She tried to. Got error. Problem with Amazon systems.
Told me to cancel order and place it again with the correct address. Would apply £50 discount again as price had gone back up and error with the address system not my fault.
Placed order again. Rep -£50'd the order. System messed up again and must have thought the price was still £299, thus dropping mine to £249 + £6 for Irish VAT I am guessing?

Some poor sucker is going to say they got one leg stand and it will be checked with fulfillment and they will be caught out. Then comes the call from the account specialist.
