I have a Canon 100-400L that's developed mould on an internal element.
I've to send it back for repair but I'm wondering if it makes any difference which authorised repair centre in the UK that I send it to? There's four to choose from.

Is Fixation one of the places offered?
    I would highly recommend them

    Canon UK Repair Centre
    Unit 160 Centennial Park
    Centennial Avenue

That is the address I shipped to before. Canon CPS Repair Centre.

£458 ex. vat to repair the fungus issues. Ouch!

    Ouch indeed, was it a Mk1 or MK2 ?

It's a MkI. Think it's only worth about €700 or so but it's worthless as it is at the moment!

Are you a member of CPS? If so then send it to the address that Paul gave and it might/probably will be cheaper

I'm not a member of CPS. Already gave the go ahead to Fixation.

I've just asked them for a quote to fix an S100, compact digital camera. all the buttons seem to be jammed.....any ideas what it might cost?

No idea, you would have to send it to them for a quote.
Given that it's an older model it might not be cost effective to get repaired.
