Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jesus, you'd expect that from one of the kids, not Lucas.

You'd very much expect that from Lucas.

That was not Boss! Kin ell Lucas, he was having a majestic game before that!

What is Lucas doing there, swinging his foot wildly what did he expect?

    amazing.

IN a cup competition when you concede a penalty in last 15 mins you as a keeper should stand big, wait for the shot. You need to do the unpredictable in these situations.

I mean it's soft but Lucas is tapping away as his ankles from behind. Just stupid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Lamela just sits himself on the ground and ref sprints to give him a penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Doesn't matter if they're great or memorable tackles, they're tackles that help out the team, that's just a stupid thing to say. And how often is Sturridge actual at peak fitness?

No striker is bought for their tackling, they are signed for their goal scoring.

Tackling, team play etc is bonus.

Sturridge has had fitness issues as we all know, and I'd say he's approaching full fitness now. People though seem to make out that he gets injured on purpose instead of having a poor run of injuries.

53k in attendance. Not too shabby for a reserve game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,679 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

    Book him for diving ref

That looked more of a pen at first glance.

Edit: Maybe not. Nothing much to it apart from falling after he sort of got the ball.

All those misses are going to come back and haunt Liverpool aren't they.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Moreno is a complete disaster of a player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,466 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Moreno the fool. That was a penalty especially under new rules .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Sturridge was pulled back earlier while in on goal but no shout for that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Now that one was more of a penalty.

Sturridge going for the Europa League final replica there.

So unlucky. Deflected on to the bar. Sturridge did really well.

Should have come off his line further. Refs very rarely pick up on it.

    Cracking effort from Sturridge

Moreno out of side for weeks, you would of thought he would have learnt something in that time. NO, he did not. Same old clueless player.

We've come close to shítting the bed a few times in games this season after conceding but haven't so far. Hopefully the same tonight.

    Well held Migs.

We could have been 4-0 up before they got that pen.

A 2-3 loss in extra time would be the most Liverpool result ever I'd say.

Sturridge with the finesse of a Sherman tank there.

Time to get Lallana on for Ejaria or Grujic

We could have been 4-0 up before they got that pen.

In football, generally speaking, most chances don't result in goals.
Have a look at Firmino this weekend if you don't believe me :pac:

Must have held ball for 8 seconds or more there, that was a free kick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Spurs are going to score aren't they?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,436 ✭✭✭One_Of_Shanks

We'll still win this. It wouldn't be Liverpool if we didn't engineer a completely unnecessary heart attack for the fans along the way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Should have carried that on there Ings.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

An Ings goal there would have been brilliant. Should have done better.

Ings running and movement has been very good since he came on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,466 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Ings had all the time in the world
Should of took it closer to keeper and rolled it in calmly .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

    Can comes on for Grujic

What a winker with that tackle on Ings.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

If that lad injured Ings with that petty challenge I'd be fuming.
