Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Typical Spurs, can't do anything right. You'd think they'd have given Winks the number 40 just for the laugh. Bloody loathsome club.

Good win but pity we had to do it the hard way.

Hope we get United in the next round. They'd have to pull of a miracle to make it happen though.

    Imagine.

Jurgen Klopp against a Giggs/Ferguson combo in the final. Would be amazing.

I'd fear a small club in final
Would prefer to play a top 6 team

    Its not Guardiola

That was a fun match. Liverpool almost shooting themselves in the foot towards the end, as is tradition.
The pressing and tactics overall have been very good. Players moving and covering each other and forcing the opposition to play an uncomfortable game. Tackling is such an important factor for us too.

Concentration levels need to improve big time though. We seem incapable of clean sheets and there is always a big worry when teams advance. I could see why that penalty was given tonight, Lucas didn't play the ball - bit soft but he shouldnt be forcing the ref to make that choice. We can also be very heavy handed at times in passing and control, especially noticable when Firmino, Coutinho and Henderson arent on the pitch.

But there is a great understanding between the players and a good philosophy and identity has been built. The fact that there was 11 straight changes for todays game but we are still playing the same way is proof of that. V.Lucky to have Jurgern Norbert Klopp at the club and long may he last

Origi for me was Motm. He was superb & showed a bit of everything apart from a goal. His 20 mins in the 2nd were sensational.

For those talking about the crowd noise did you watch the Celtic game at the weekend, for a time the sound was messed up and you could hear the crowd louder with the commentary lower, just shows you hear what the director wants you to hear when watching the tv

Alas Moreno just reverted to type as the game wore on

In fairness a big yellow hand was trying to crush him.

    It could be you.

Technically the finger would crush him. The hand just happens to be the driving force of it.

We can't be getting ambiguous with this stuff. Rival fans will just have more ammunition to verbally assault us.

Technically the finger is a part of the hand

How come Lovren didn't receive this type of analysis from you I wonder?

Yes this was a mistake by Moreno but he overall had a good game.

He's a liability. Should have been dumped after the EL final.

We can't be sure that the finger isn't firing bullets either. Lo and behold if anyone pulls on it, for an ill wind will blow.

having not seen the game and the play before the screenshot, it doesn't strike me that many Liverpool players are in any sort of shape or organisation. The centre halves are not in line and why are there three players chasing the Tottenham player on the ball. The circled Tottenham player looks to be breaking from central midfield, so why isn't he being tracked by a central midfielder?

Screenshots aren't exactly great science but Moreno does that sort of thing every single game tbh.

He'll be gone in the summer

I've seen combined Utd / Liverpool teams before. ...similar idea here.

Combine the best parts of Moreno and Rojo that would form a footballer.

I'll have a think about it myself. ..

Whatever about anything else, the centre halves are in line. They are the 2 closes to goal.

Clyne was pushed up also, and its actually his man is running with the ball. Both FB push up, thats how we play, Moreno as usually is pushed up higher but thats what happens when we get caught on the break.
