11 - 14 on both teams are Leinster grown. Ironically that's where the exiles seem to have the upper hand.

They're using our own satellites against us

We've won our last 4 Interpros. Good form against Leinster lately. Good impact off the bench in Delahunt, Bealham, McKeown and Bundee. Feeling fairly confident!

The starting front row is only area where I'm worried:
JP Cooney v Ross - Ross in the scrum no doubt
Heffernan v Cronin - obviously advantage Leinster but not as much as people may think
Carey v Healy - I've been impressed with Carey but Cian seems to have found some form

I'll be excited when embedded Adeolokuns arrive in Leinster blue in a season or so.

Nah, we're not doing a Munster and adopting your shade of blue for our away jerseys...

In an attempt to confuse Joe and get a few lads into the Ireland squad?

Well lets see Adeolokun learn to tackle before we waste valuable Dublin air on his lungs.

In fact, I look forward to seeing him ricochet off Adam Byrne tomorrow.

The back row battle should be the Conan/O'Brien show I'd say.

Tell me will Rob Kearney prefer landing on his arse or his face when Connacht players go past him...again :pac:

I'm not talking about spinning the ball wide or playing a loose game. I'm talking about moving the Connacht pack around i.e. high tempo play up front, quick recycles, pick and go or crashing the ball up 2 or 3 out in midfield and going again.

The front 5 are all big, heavy lads, particularly the props. They'll be feeling a quick pace early in the second half and Leinster have a strong bench to introduce.

Dunno about that one, don't really see the Leinster tight 5 being that much more mobile. Bealham and Delahunt are pretty mobile coming off the bench.

Connacht play a much higher tempo than Leinster so don't see us being any more exposed than Leinster by that.

Taking advantage of Connacht on the scramble defence is where Leinster need to target. Connacht are horrific in this aspect.

I may live to regret this, but Leavy/Conan/SOB/JvdF doesn't worry me as I've full confidence in SOB2.0/Muldoon/Heenan/McKeon..
    It's props I'm concerned over

I was being completely serious when I said I met Joe the other day. He was out taking one of his Kearney's for a walk.

Seriously though lads, isn't it great of Pat to request his better players be kept out of the Ireland squad so he could bring them on a school tour up to the big schmoke? They can look at all the tall buildings and check their e-mail and see what areas are the best to live in. A great lad altogether is Pat Lam. Pat Lam for President 2018.

T'will be a nice treat for Leinster fans to see some proper running rugby tomorrow evening. No doubt they'll be getting all nostalgic about their glory days of playing that way.

Put aside Aki case, I hardly can be happier with the team. Heffernan back, Cannon ready, Bealham and Marmion allowed to play, no backup 10 as I suggested (Craig can do the job), to have both Bundee and Ili in the list

All of the players are under strict instructions not to talk to any Dublin floozeys. We all know what happens when those foul temptresses start talking to Connacht lads...

Strange no Kirchner for tomorrow, seems like the exact sort of game we have him for. Good run out for the young guys but very inexperienced backline.

Excellent player, ripped up AIL past few seasons. Honestly would have given him the chance ahead of Mick McGrath last season, but McGrath was a physical specimen; Daly is slighter but really quick and surprisingly strong.

I commend you on your futile attempt to actually talk about rugby, and I'll join you!
In fairness to Adeolokun, his defensive capabilities have come on hugely in the last couple of years. Granted, it was from a level where the other players would literally shout at him at point to where he was supposed to be (which was a little odd)..... anyway he has obviously listened, and he has bulked up considerably. He has noticeably improved, his tackling is occasionally off (like any back) but his positioning is actually pretty good.
I think if you pay attention tomorrow, you may be surprised......(of course this post is now just an open invitation to a Kearney like howler tomorrow)

Did Mick McGrath play at all for Leinster last season? It was the year before him and Fanning stole all that game time.

Running rugby is nostalgic. From the era of 2p for a packet of Taytos, Wanderly Wagon, and Irish people going to mass. Kick-chase is where the cutting edge of modern sophisticated rugby tactics are at these days. We all like a trip down memory lane now and again though.

Yes I believe those tactics were the plan in Edinburgh too, unfortunately Leinster forgot the chase aspect. It's difficult for some players to remember all the little details of such a complicated game plan to be fair.

On the basis of tonight and our game three weeks ago I don't think Leinster have anything at all to fear from Munster or Ulster. It adds a bit of context to tomorrow that should make this fixture and the reverse even more interesting.

Who is Ireland's next, top, province...!

    Lads,

You're not going to believe this. I was sitting on the jacks just there and I bumped into Joe Schmidt. I said, "Joe, jaysus man, what are you doing in my jacks?"

Joe was pure calm and professional about it, he said:
Venjur, what's the story pal, just out for a pre match stroll, getting the nerves to settle.

I said, "but Joe, Ireland aren't playing tomorrow" whilst I put a towel over myself and he replied:
Do you ever read Stephen King?

    I said, "eh.. yeah bu...."
Do you know that isn't his real name?

    "Yeah it's his pen name..?"
Do you want to know what my Pen name is?

    "...?"
    Stuart F**king Lancaster

Yeah man, how the f**k do you think Kearney got on the bench

"But I've seen Lancaster in press conferences?"
Ha ha, ye big peon, he never existed. He's a hologram.

    "a what?"
A hologram, a projection, the entire time he was coaching England he wasn't even real!

"Eh, so who was actually coaching England at the time?"
    eddie_smiling_rdax_365x365_80.jpg

    "....?"
Eddie's been off screwing the pooch beyond yonder for years, Brits never had a clue and he played it smart only losing on points difference. Thought we were rumbled when he kept picking Robshaw as captain but he got away with it... RFU lol.. clowns!

"So that's why England couldn't get out of their pool in the world cup"
    Exactly

"So why are you back at Leinster?"
    Tiernan

    "Tiernan...?"
    Tiernan O'Halloran

    "What did he do?"
He has pictures of me and Bundi

    "You and Bundi?"
    Yeah

    "You and Bundi doing what...?"

    ...............

    "You and Bundi doing WHAT?"

wearing All Black jerseys in Eyre Square
