Anyone any success with brewing a ginger beer?

I'm planning on brewing one tomorrow evening to this recipe I found on NHC and adapted with ideas from other sites.

    1.7g brewing sugar
    500g extra light DME
    1kg ginger
    200g honey
    2 lemons
    2 limes
    2tsp yeast nutrient
    1 packet US-04

The user on NHC said if they done it again they would add an extra 500g of DME, would this give more body and stronger ABV?

    Any other recipes/suggestions?

It came out around a similar mouthfeel to Hollows Ginger Beer but with a good more ginger kick to it. The extra DME would give more body and ABV but you could cut back the sugar if you wanted to keep the ABV down.

I've not rebrewed since though, must get round to it some weekend soon.
