    guys,

finishing a new build and i want to put a nice finish to the rooms with up market sockets and switches.

I'm wondering whether to go for stainless steel, chrome, brushed steel with the white or black inserts.

any pros or cons to any of these? i presume Rust isn't an issue.

    any help appreciated

I'd watch polished steel , brushed is good as it doesn't show smudges

Brushed is a nice touch in my opinion. I would also invest in sockets with usb sockets. Maybe not all the sockets but certainty some of them, maybe beside sofas, beds etc.

B&Q doing the double sockets gold / chrome for €20. Twin USB ports (2.1A & 1A). Screwless faceplates.

14.99 in Woodies at the moment for the white double switched version. 2.1A dual USB.

When it comes to USB sockets I would only buy quality makes such as MK.
Cheap phone chargers have been known to go on fire.
I would have the same concerns about cheap USB sockets.
The extra few quid is worth it for peace of mind IMHO.

in fairness, the Woodies offering is BG product. Very decent quality.
