    folks,
    hope you can help.

    Just starting a self build (250 sq meters) in Galway and inquiring can anyone give a breakdown in putting in a raft foundation. The ground is level so little work will be needed from an excavation. side
    price breakdown:
    ground work: ??
    stone:??
    steel??
    concrete
    radon barrier and other items ???
    Labour????

    appreciate if someone could give a good approx. breakdown

    They joys of Self Build.
    Have you got an supervision?
    You could just send your Engineers drawings to a few ground crews to get prices, they would be a lot more accurate than guess figures posted on here tbh.

    there are so many reasons why this is a bad idea........... grand for a rough guide but please do not rely upon this as gospel as building (and especially costs) is not a one size fits all scenario and rates will vary from job to job, builder to builder, finish to finish, spec to spec.

    you would be surprised how powerful this internet forum can be on the mindset of some...........onces its written down many believe it to be gospel.
