Huge security deposit?

    small restaurantand was told that I have to pay 2500 for a security deposit.. this is hugely out of what we can afford . Can we negotiate to lower the deposit?

    Thanks for your message.

    All new businesses registering with Electric Ireland are required to pay a security deposit when registering. The amount of this security deposit can vary depending on a number of factors, including the type of business.

    We would recommend contacting the Electric Ireland Business Sales team on 1850 305 070 to discuss this matter further, as they would be in the best position to look into this for you.

    They are available to call from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
